Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

To get an insight into the local culture, this is a highly recommend activity; check with the Tourist Authority office for starting times which can be a bit variable day-to-day. The presentation includes local music, a welcoming Ava Ceremony, and an opportunity to be involved in palm frond weaving. There are a variety of local presentations including traditional tatau display, wood carving, umu cooking, traditional massage, and there is a local craft store (not all of these options are available all days as it depends on the person’s other obligations). Lunch from the umu was included and the show ended off with more music and dancing. Well worth the time (about 2.5 hours) and entry fee (WST20 each).

Very well kept and beautiful church in the middle of town. Hard to miss if you are walking along Beach Road from Apia Clock Tower towards the Government buildings side.

Lovely architecture and the tinted glass paintings. We visited on a Monday morning when it was empty and gave alot of time to admire in detail.

Do leave a donation in the box when you leave.

The views are beautiful, and the lava overlooks are cool. Loved watching the waves crash by the cliffs. This was a great pit stop for my family after a long car drive. I would recommend wearing good hiking shoes. Watch your step, there are some big routes. There are several lookout points so you can make the hike as short or as long as you'd like. We did not make it all the way to the lava fields, but I am sure they would be amazing to see.

I recently visited Samoa and Sundays are dedicated to God. Visitors are welcome to attend a service at a local church anywhere across the island. I decided to attend the 10am service at the Baha'i Temple. The service was beautiful and I felt very welcome.

It's hard to miss the Apia Clock Tower. It kinda forms the central point which ever direction you approach it from.

You can follow along it and Beach road to the other sights around town. Have to be weary of traffic if you want to get close to it best done in the evening or night when the roads are empty.

    Hard to miss this landmark!

This monument is in the grounds of Le Vasa Resort, and commemorates the last battle in the 13th Century between the Samoans and the Tongans, and ended 200 years of Tongan rule over Samoa.

Drove up there, but would be a good hike if we were overnighting in Lalomanu. The view is spectacular, in fact Taufua beach fales has cabins up there if you prefer it. You get driven down to the beach main house for meals though. We did this a couple of years ago but not this time as this was just a day trip.
