Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Stuart CBournemouth, UK2,709 contributionsNewer area within Buenos Aries full of cafes, bars and restaurants. Great for a stroll in the sun or for lunch / dinner. Feels very safe!Written 10 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,207 contributionsWe took our walk on a Tuesday afternoon, and the Recoleta area was quite busy, and with many restaurants attainting guest levels of 75% and higher. Most of the shops and eateries cater to mid to higher end shoppers and diners.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James HOregon, USA44 contributionsI wanted to see this cemetery while in Buenos Aires. An interesting visit and would recommend it. A lot of history there, and beautiful sights. It was crowded the day we were there but that would be expected given the attraction.Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Travelfun001Oakville, Canada3,493 contributionsAfter many visits to Europe I don't visit a lot of churches anymore but we decided to go in. It's a beautiful and well maintained cathedral. It also houses the remains of Argentine Liberator General Jose de San Martin with an honour guard and we happened to be there for the changing of the guard. Free admission and it was busy when we were here.Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FrequentFlier447031Athens, GA7 contributionsUnbelievable bookstore located in an old opera house! Take a seat in a balcony box and read a book. There is a nice cafe too. Wish they had logo souvenirs!Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RazorfishLittle Rock, AR3,866 contributionsCalle Defensa is a continuous flea market from Plaza Dorrego to Plaza Mayo. It must be a mike of stalls that my wife and it seemed like my wife looked at half of them. It was a fun Sunday weaving our way through the crowds and looking at the crafts. It reminded me of El Rastro Flea Market in Madrid.Written 29 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Giuseppe CincindellaRosyth, UK1,696 contributionsOne of the best areas of BA, full of beautiful houses, parks, shops. Nice to walk along the streets, having a rest in the beautiful and green parks. - aleksandra sBelgrade, Serbia480 contributionsGreat museum, well putted. Decoratife art in full sence. Nicely organized, well blended historical artefacts with modern sculptures for example. You can come by Hop-on-hop-off bus, spend lovely 1-2hours. Free entranceWritten 9 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bruce SHat Head, Australia19 contributionsReal tourism centro place. Caminito “the little path” is the principal reason tourists go to La Boca (unless they happen to be ardent Boca Juniors fans!) All the action and visual gems is enclosed in a relatively small triangular area – the buildings are no architectural magazine showcases but radiate off a kaleidoscope of colours, souvenirs, cafes, restaurants, art to look at and art to buy, interesting and often topical sculptural reliefs in the streets, tango dancing, comical manikins of Argentine celebrities (Evita, Maradona et al), all adding up to a pleasant side trip from the city centre in BA.Written 31 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark BSan Jose, CA3 contributionsNot sure why the person with the one star review had such a bad experience. We had a good time visiting this building, the ticket sales person and our guide spoke English very clearly. This is an office building, but it is very interesting and has a light house on top. The tour had us spend time on the 1,4,14,22,7 floors. We went into the lighthouse on top a rooftop patio, offices and common spaces. I found it very worth our time. We liked it better than the Colon theater, though that was good at 4 starsWritten 1 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PeggyNevadaGenoa, NV71 contributionsThe Womens Bridge was one of the highlights. Tango dancers performed on the bridge which is inspired by dancers. Inexpensive Uber. Dont bother with Hop on Hop off bus as not very informative.Written 15 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ectoplasm FantasiaBirmingham, UK1,434 contributionsOnly visited the outside but it is a spectacular stadium.
The blue and yellow are very eye-catching and it’s fun to pose outside for photos.Written 22 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. What a night of song and instruments!Written 28 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina65,207 contributionsThe President’s Pink House (Casa Rosada) where Argentina’s major decisions are made. Well worth a visit, and while in the area, visit the museum housing things owned or used by previous Argentinian presidents. I enjoyed the historical walk.Written 13 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
