Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Julia VBerlin29 contributionsWe have come here several times for a massage of the complete body and for a foot massage (after running). Adriana knows her work very well. She could also my friend who suffers from muscle spasms with her medical massage.
We can strongly recommend her and would come back!Written 22 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I wrote to Stella asking if I could attend her class. Her gracious reply came quickly and by the next morning, I found myself chatting with other students (who were very patient with my basic Spanish) while waiting for her class to begin. Stella is a gifted teacher who speaks fluent English. Her studio is beautifully appointed and in a great location in the Recoleta neighbourhood.Written 11 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexandra SMontreal, Canada2 contributionsI really enjoyed Jennifer's Alignment based vinyasa. She is an excellent teacher! I recommend this place. You have to enter the building and take the escalator... it's a little complicated but ask at the front door and they will tell you where it is.Written 19 July 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ItsOnlyMe5Seattle, WA29 contributionsClearly the spa is trying to fit into the true five star ambience of the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt, which is a lovely hotel that I highly recommend for those that love modern design and good service. This was my second visit as I wanted to give it a second chance to prove itself. The first appointment I had there was in 2014 and it was lackluster at best. Both times I booked massages. The facilities are adequate, nothing more. They are clean and they are pretty new, but the men's side at least is limited to lockers, regular showers (nothing fancy), a small jacuzzi, and a small sauna. This wasn't the type of place one would go to relax between treatments or really feel indulged. As I don't care for that sort of thing it didn't bother me; I was there for a massage and aside from that a quick shower before leaving. The problem, however, was the massage itself.
Now I wish to be fair. The masseuse was a lovely lady who obviously meant well. I booked a deep tissue massage and asked her twice for firm pressure. She assured me she would do so. The massage suite was modern and comfortable. It had a nicer shower and locker area, and no one was using it after me (I was the last massage client of the day), so I didn't understand why I wasn't permitted to use that to shower and change in lieu of the cramped public area, but whatever.
Please keep in mind that I paid heavily for this 90 minute deep tissue massage. I paid international prices in dollars plus a tip (they were quite pointed about asking about gratuities at check-out). Regardless, I was looking forward to a great massage to work some major kinks out of my back and neck after flying 18 hours to get there.
I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this very kind masseuse had a terribly...odd... way of massaging her clients. It was a mix of Swedish massage and something that doesn't qualify as a massage at all. For example, she would lift my leg and then just... well, drop it. She did this MANY times to each limb. I finally asked if I was supposed to hold it up for her to massage or something, but she acted like my question was a bit silly, really, so I shut up. I was to drop that limb like I was suffering a bit of rigor mortis. If she wanted to have me play like a cadaver for a bit I could do it, but I didn't see how it was going to work out any knots from my back. She was the expert, however, and she was adamant that this was an important part of the massage. The remainder of the massage was just VERY gentle rubbing motions; a basic Swedish massage, nothing more. I could tell she was quite proud indeed of her professionalism, however, telling me that I would always be draped appropriately at all times (not that it mattered as I always wear my boxer-briefs during a massage), but she seemed really proud of her draping technique and turning her head when having me turn over on the bed. Um, okay.
In the end, I didn't receive anything approximating a deep tissue massage. Yet at check out I just couldn't bring myself to complain about her. I don't want to say anything identifying because I don't want to jeopardize her position, but she made it quite clear how badly she needed the job when chit chatting. Complaining about her novel limb dropping methods right before Christmas seemed terribly grinch-like, and she was very proud of herself afterwards, telling me she hoped I felt truly at peace after my "very deep tissue massage; was it deep enough to my liking? Err... sure? To be honest I felt more confused than at peace, because cadaver limb dropping was quite a foreign technique to me. I was going to chalk up the experience to the difference between massages in different countries when I remembered that I had had one of the best massages of my life in Argentina, and further my friends laughed at my story and told me that they received real deep tissue massages for 25% of the price, without pretending to be a corpse.I felt like a bit of a tourist sucker.
Also, I'll note that at check-out there was NO questioning about how it was. They were more interested in telling me about how I needed to tell them the amount of gratuity to include, and they proceeded to give me suggested amounts. Annoying. I stood my ground at the amount I felt was more than fair (15% of the total, which garnered me a tiny bit of a stink-eye from the check-out attendant). Apart from that he was friendly enough, however.
I won't be returning to the Park Hyatt spa. I am sad. It has a lot of potential. I get these sense that they MEAN well but lack enormous amounts of training. The hotel should really invest in the spa as it could be a real cash cow for trhem. At this point, however, I noticed that it was almost empty the entire time I was there. I hope things change, but I won't be returning. First time shame on then, second time shame on cadaver-like me, third time would equal me being a bit of a nitwit, so I'll stick with two bad experiences and call it day.

Their massage was very relaxing but did little to relieve the stress in my shoulders and upper back. Most of the time was spent on the soles of my feet - nice but not what I needed. The facial was good but not exception. However, the manicure and pedicure was one of the best I've ever had. Overall, the experience was very good and I will probably go back.Written 2 February 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dominique BMontreal, Canada91 contributionsMasajes Tim is probably a very good center but the Thai massage I had there was very disappointing. - Ron BJakarta, Indonesia5 contributionsAs a travel buff and yoga fanatic/teacher I am always trying to get in a few yoga classes when I am abroad. Most places have either good teachers/staff, a good shala, or a good location but have not seen any with all three. ( aside from my home studio in Jakarta and its sister in Bali)... Till I went to The Centro De Yoga and Meditation/Vida Natural.
Its in a converted house, a full three stories of house! The reception, changing and casual area is on the ground floor, there are two yoga rooms complete with solid wood flooring on the second, and the top floor is one huge room. This room is very open with huge windows on both sides and is impressive as it is fully kitted out for Iyengar yoga. They also teach astanga, vinyasa, hatha and kids yoga along with quite a few meditation classes and also it seems a lot of workshops.
What really warmed my heart were the people,, the teacher I had was Sol for the Iyengar class', and the staff who work there Sonia, Agustina and Florencia are all very kind and just good people!!!
Admittedly their English was either average or they just were out of practice or maybe a bit shy, but I was in a Spanish speaking country. Most likely if you have made it all the way to Argentina you already have some Spanish skills which will be enough,, and you can always do what I did,, with Sols permission,, to look at and copy the other students. Having said that, Sol seemed to be everywhere to adjust each of the 10 or so students and made each feel like they were in a private class.
The cost for a drop in is around 250 pesos or 21 USD, which for a big city is reasonable. My guess tho is they barely break even given the huge investment they put into the place..
but you know what,, they don't do it for the money,, they do it because they want to,, thats their magic!!Written 12 April 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
