Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- carolyn s9 contributionsGreat experience. Our guide was funny & knowledgable. If you didn't get to see some of the animals they have out in the wild, then it's a must. The only place you will see a black leopard.Written 25 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Candice PDurban, South Africa255 contributionsHaving visited here in early 2000, i had high expectations and my hubby is a hobby photographer so i had explained what it was like when we went last. Sadly for the price i was a little disappointed. We went purely due to wanting the see the king cheetah, first time i went they were not available to see as they were nursing cubs. This is extremely tourist orientated.
The tour is on a game drive truck, they drive you into the enclosures of the wild dogs and the King cheetah. We got to see the King cheetahs up close as the one came close to the vehicle. We saw the Ground hornbill, as well as where they have a "vulture restaurant" but it was just bones and the smell was a bit hectic with a few odd little hornbills etc. We saw sables as well as their rehab rhinos and calves that have been rescued that will be released back into the wild when they are ready. The experience was lovely, it was a bit rushed. Also they used to have the cheetah run, where they had like a stuffed toy on a line that they used to show how fast the cheetah can run, they don't seem to do that anymore. They have a curio shop as well as a little "Deli" restaurant. The curios were expensive. While i understand that it goes to research and all that, i just felt it was expensive for a local SA. We have been and definitely won't go again.Written 3 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. These are still wild animals, they could leave (and they do leave) when they want and stay away.
I still have concerns of what happens when Tony dies and Jessica is left, how she reacts and interacts with humans as she could become even more dangerous…but at the moment, I don’t see this as exploitation, I see it as conservation.Written 5 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable about all the different wildlife we encountered. The guide made sure to go above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. My favourite part of the safari was when we spotted a timbavati lion, one of only 4 known to exist in the wild. I highly recommend booking a safari with this company. It was a life changing experience.Written 20 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- annieonthemove4 contributionsThe most wonderful spa, in conjunction with the game drives, wonderful food, beautiful surroundings and first class service, this is just a luxurious added extra. Treated myself to a massage one day and a facial the next. The best I've ever had. So fantastic, cannot rate the therapist, Buhle highly enough. Communication via email was excellent, driver was reliable and vehicle was first rate 4WD. Pricing was much cheaper than booking a transfer through the lodge.Written 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laura K17 contributionsI had high hopes for my lifelong dream of a trip to Africa, and this trip far exceeded my wildest expectations! We here treated like queens by our wonderful guides Chris and Goodwill. They fed us amazing meals every day. They helped us so far more than we expected of rare and endangered animals. We thought we were all about the big cats (we saw 29 lions, 3 leopards, and a Cheetah) , but fell in love with the less attractive hyenas, warthogs, and wildebeast. None of us arrived as birders, but the gorgeous birds of Africa, and our guides spotting skills and knowledge, converted us. We hoped to see a rhino, but actually saw nine, including a mother and young one.Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
