- Ricky SBandung, Indonesia362 contributionsIf you happen to be in Canggu, pay a visit to this beautiful beach. Black sands and rocks along the beach give it distinct look and different atmosphere altogether. Beach clubs with are plentiful in case you want to enjoy the view with style.Written 28 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick MFrenchs Forest, Australia1,003 contributionsSmart beach at Canggu, but parking close can be difficult. Like most places if you want to get close to the beach you’re going to have to pay.
Surf is good and the beach is okay.Written 28 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I sat on the deserted beach with a sarong for the entirety of the day to see the most beautiful sunset, which is when it starts to get more busy. I had an overall feeling of safety, and I observed a lot of other women as well as couples and smaller groups. A healthy combination of locals and visitors.Written 28 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- carolkthamSingapore, Singapore49 contributionsKenny & his wife were so hospitable . They kindly delayed our treatment by half hour as we got stuck in traffic getting there , and when we arrived & mentioned we were hungry from not having had lunch , they said we could take our time and sent us off to restaurant across road to grab a bite !
They were so nice to assign us a VIP couples room where a completely decadent floral bath was drawn for me to soak in after my massage, scrub & wrap . Meanwhile , my fiancé relished his body massage followed by foot massage .
We had a great time & would recommend Ji - Jireh to anyone looking for the ultimate in pampering while in the Canggu / Seminyak area of Bali … !Written 10 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were greeted by a calm and relaxing atmosphere, lovely cold tea and cool towels. We both had a Balinese massage and it was both healing and relaxing at the same time! We will definitely be coming back soon!Written 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nicky ForsythHamilton, New Zealand8 contributionsI got a wonderful opportunity to spend some time being pampered by the team at Tonic today, my scrub and facial were expertly carried out by Leni, she was gentle and through, I then got to spend time with Sena who did a brilliant job of my nails, again she was gentle and through, all through the treatment room was somewhat tired looking the staff were very attentive and friendly.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacq CLondon5 contributionsThis place is amazing. The yoga teachers were clearly long-term, experienced practitioners so taught excellent, challenging classes. I loved the variety of yoga and the frequency of the classes, (every few hours), making them so accessible. The staff were kind and helpful, especially as the airline had lost my suitcase, with medication I required, so was stressed about locating it. I had my own room, with AC and bathroom. Simple, cosy and comfortable. I loved relaxing by pool reading when I wasn't doing classes. The vegan breakfast included with my stay was delicious. :) This eco lodge is very close to the beach, another plus. The vibe of the shalas was lovely. I can't wait to go back, hopefully next year. Thanks for an awesome start to my stay in Bali Serenity Eco Lodge!Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Terrence H4 contributionsThe location itself is already very beautiful, because from its rooftop, a vast part of Canggu can be seen and I imagine Yoga sessions during sunset could be spectacular there. I went to a yoga class in the morning, though, and it was also brilliant, the teacher Indah had a very good and unique program that suited the class very well!Written 10 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex FBandung, Indonesia1 contributionJust finished my 200-hour Hatha-Vinyasa yoga teacher training at Joga Yoga in Canggu, and wow, what an experience. Honestly, it was way more than I expected. I came in thinking I’d just learn how to teach yoga, but I left with so much more.
First off, Bali is a magical place. Canggu is chill, with amazing beaches and a really laid-back vibe. The setting alone made the whole experience special.
The training itself was tough but totally worth it. The instructors really know their stuff and make even the complicated parts feel doable. We covered everything from yoga philosophy to anatomy, and they really pushed us to find our own style as teachers. The practice teaching sessions were intense, but by the end, I felt pretty confident about leading a class. What’s great is that Joga Yoga also offers regular yoga classes in Canggu, so you can keep practicing and improving your skills even after the training.
What I loved most, though, was the sense of community. The group I trained with was awesome, and we all bonded pretty quickly. The teachers were super supportive, always there to help or just talk things through. It really felt like we were all in it together.
A couple of recommendations: Be ready for a lot of self-reflection and personal growth—this isn’t just about yoga poses. Also, the schedule is packed, so make sure to carve out some time for yourself. And if you’re not used to the Bali heat, stay hydrated! I also recommend checking out the yoga classes Joga Yoga offers in Canggu.
All in all, if you’re thinking about doing yoga teacher training, I can’t recommend Joga Yoga enough. Bali is the perfect place for it, and the experience is truly transformative. I came away not just as a certified yoga teacher, but with a deeper connection to myself and to yoga. And with Joga Yoga’s ongoing yoga classes in Canggu, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to keep growing and learning. Can’t wait to start teaching and sharing what I’ve learned!Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
