Our driver/tour guide, Aditya, made everything so easy and provided some great insight into Bali culture. - mike o11 contributionsMy driver brought me on a great tour, we saw waterfalls, coffee plantation, we drove past rice fields and stopped at the elephants sanctuary.
He was very polite and courteous. Always willing to listen to the customer if they wanted to change their itinerary. The value for money is very good.

Our driver, Wayan, picked us up on time and answered any question we had (we had a lot of questions) about the area and what different things we passed on the road were for. We then had Sena (not sure if that's spelled correctly) for the bike tour. He was great too. The biking was fun but I'd say it was not exactly beginner even though you are going downhill almost the entire way. This is because sometimes you are on a very narrow path through the rice fields so you have to concentrate. I am a 60 yo woman and did it without any problem but was a little nervous at times. One of our group fell and Sena was prepared with a first aid kit and was so kind and attentive as he washed off the mud from his foot and cleaned a small cut and put on a bandaid. After the bike ride we were at lunch and I realized I left my phone in the car we took from the end of the bike ride to lunch and someone went with a motor cycle (because it's quicker than a car) to get my phone from the car that had already left. After lunch, Wayan drove us through Ubud where we stopped and walked around then to the monkey forest and waterfall then back to our hotel. - Mathan AHarrow, UK69 contributionsAfter careful consideration, I decided to take the plunge and rent a scooter. Only thing is I had never ridden one and needed to build up confidence.
That is why I decided to take a lesson and I am so glad I did. It is only two hours long but in that time, I learnt a lot and it gave me the confidence to navigate Bali's roads.
My instructor, Iqbal, was great. He was very friendly and patient, and have be lots of encouragement. He showed the the basics and his teaching methods allowed me to progress and be confident on the roads straight away. We went on a quiet side street first but eventually went on road.
If you have never driven a scooter before, I highly recommend you take two hours out of your life and learn. - _gina_filiMelbourne, Australia10 contributionsOur wonderful driver for the day, Nyoman picked us up from our accom in Balangan Beach at 7am and drove us for about 2 hours to Red paddle Adventure in Ubud to pick up the cycling leg of our day.
Uste our guide and another driver took us up to Kintamani about 40 mins away to have a scrumptious Indonesian breakfast whilst admiring the amazing views.
A short drive later we picked up our bikes and headed off with Uste on a downhill adventure through the rice paddies and villages. This was
my favorite part of the day.
About 2 hours later we were picked up again and taken back to Red Paddle headquarters to enjoy a delicious Indonesian lunch.
Around 2:30 we were back in the car heading back to Padang Beach 🏖️. Unfortunately due to the hideous traffic we had to forgo the beach stop to get to Uluwatu Temple in time for the Keckak Fire Dance show at 6:00. We arrived at the Temple at 4:45 with enough time to spare to enjoy the amazing views of the Uluwatu coast line from the temple.
We meet up with Nyoman after the show ready to head off for dinner at Jimbarian which however we were told with traffic was another 1 hour drive away!!!
We’d spent enough time in a car stuck in traffic at the point and decided to have dinner in Uluwatu instead.
Nyoman took us back to Bakangan another 40 min drive away. We got home around 9pm. A very long day.
I would recommend that you do not try to fit all of these activities in one day. The traffic in Bali is awful. We spent over half the day in a car!!
Break it up in small junks and spend more time enjoying the activities.
Thank you Nyoman for driving us everywhere and making sure we got to the temple in time. You were very accommodating to our needs and we felt very safe.
