- Mary L1 contributionMy husband and I had a great time on this excursion! Transportation from the hotel to the ports and back was seamless with excellent communication.
Putu was incredibly kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable during our drive around the land. He even lent us his personal money so we could use the toilet when we arrived.
The snorkeling was definitely more challenging than I anticipated with strong currents, deeper depths, and cold waters. We both love snorkeling so we booked a private boat in hopes we would have the best experience possible, but sadly the snorkeling company made us feel rushed and the diver was not very helpful in guiding us to good places. We saw no mantas but lots of fish and a turtle when the diver finally got in the water with some bread toward the end. The company was not rude, but they definitely were not as caring as Putu which was slightly disappointing.
Putu picked us up and helped arrange for an earlier ferry since our snorkeling adventure wasn’t very long.
All in all a great trip to Nusa Penida! - Brittany M2 contributionsThis is an absolute must do!! The entire tour was phenomenal and planned for me which was amazing!!!! It was well organized and thought out. Yes, there was about 45 minutes of downtime in the beginning, but there is many options to pass the time very quickly.
My driver, Komang, picked me up early in the morning to take me to the port and made the entire process very seamless. We had great conversations on the ride in. He made sure I knew exactly where to go and made it easy to find my guide in Nusa Penida. When he picked me up to bring me back to my hotel in Ubud, he found me right away and even brought the car to me which was a very kind gesture.
When we arrived to port in Nusa Penida There was some downtime from when I arrived to the start of the snorkeling tour. This allowed me to walk along the beach, browse the nearby shops, and enjoy the breakfast that I packed for myself. I recommend bringing cash with you in case you would like to make any extra purchases while you are there. You will also want to make sure to pack sunscreen and bring a water proof bag or risk your items getting wet. You can leave your belongings back at the snorkeling tour starting point as well. I left some items and brought others with me. I placed my items on the boat in a large zip lock bag which worked fine.
The snorkeling tour was a lot of fun!! The company was very organized upon arrival. They check you in and chat with you before you board the boat. You are provided with a snorkeling mask and flippers to use. The guides explain each location and what they are known for. They are helpful and provide guests with life jackets upon request and have one floatation device/life ring for inexperienced swimmers to use. The marine life and coral were beautiful. We did get to see a sea turtle while snorkeling which was amazing!!
After the snorkeling tour ends you return and are able to use an outdoor shower before the land tour begins. My tour guide on Nusa Penida was fantastic as well!!! He waited with my stuff and took me from each location. He explained where we were going and what the location was known for; he even offered to take pictures for me which was amazing since I was traveling solo. It was hot that day, so he checked in several times to make sure I was doing okay.
Overall, I cannot recommend this tour enough. This was one of my favorite parts about my entire trip. They were very accommodating and kind throughout the entire process. This tour allows to see the main highlights and you also have time to relax on the island beaitiful beaches. So no rush at all! I want to thank Millga who was in charge of the transport to and from the port and Balo who was the guide on the island. - Adrien P2 contributionsWe had a very fun day doing these activities with our teenagers. Our driver Ajik was very friendly and always punctual picking us up at each stop. He was also a good driver so we felt safe navigating the hairy Bali traffic. He made our trip comfortable throughout as he shared lots of the Bali culture with us during our ride en route to and fro the places. He is knowledgeable and also rode the car smoothly throughout. Putu was our tour guide on Nusa Penida, he was such a fun guide who was a great driver on these tiny roads, and willing to take us all the stairs down to the Thousand Island View Point, than back up, then down to the Diamond beach, back up. Guys it’s a tough hike. You really need to know it’s a long way down and then back up in the heat.
We were really exhausted but we relaxed at the Diamond beach and Putu was right there for us to take photos and ready to go back up whenever we were.
We then saw the Kelingking Cliff, where Putu was willing to go back down with us. What a guy.
Took incredible pictures for us again and got us safely to the port.

- SheryllNorway3 contributionsHighly recommend! We hired boat which was a great price for our group of 9. We left at 7:30am and visited 4 locations over 2ish hours, including Manta Bay (not point). We were lucky enough to see mantas up close, and also saw a turtle as soon as we arrived. The fish and coral are so impressive too. Everything was super easy - booking, our guide on the boat - and we were really grateful to get a bunch of photos and videos from the trip. This was a highlight of our trip.
