Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A trip to Costa Rica is not complete without a visit to La Fortuna, Arenal, and the hot springs. La Fortuna is a hopping tourist town with an abundance of shops and restaurants. Arenal stands above it all smoking majestically and pumping out prodigious amounts of hot water, which a variety of resorts divert into their facilities. We visited Ecotermales Fortuna in the evening for a tasty buffet dinner before exploring the variety of hot spring pools. We met some nice people during our soak and emerged totally relaxed.

It’s amazing! Great for solo, couples and family travel. Vast area of Hot springs and we found some colder dipping pools too. Greenery is stunning. Must visit!

Great place a little pricey though.
We went in the evening and lighting was quite low so traversing through the pools i scraped my leg and bumped my toe a lot, also not every stairway in and out of pools had handrails beware,it was very relaxing under the waterfalls.

We had a great day relaxing at the hot springs. We had been warned it gets really busy and maybe we were just lucky but it was perfectly fine!
We got there just before opening time at 11am and stayed till about 2pm.
The pools were lovely and clean apart from a few leaves that fall during the day. All areas were spotlessly clean but special mention must go to the bar area at the back with the most fabulous views of the countryside with an uninterrupted view of the volcano - superb.

Enjoyed the various pools with different temperatures. Did not feel too crowded since there were many pools. Drink prices at the bar were very reasonable. Free towel (deposit required though). Changing rooms were clean and well appointed. A few of the pools had water slides. Sometimes hard to find a place to put your towels and shoes at the pools. Have a gift shop and food at the bar.

This was an awesome experience. There are two sides to this river where most tourist go and across the highway is the least crowded. If you are driving from Monte Verde it will be on the left side(tabacon) there are usually a couple of gentlemen controlling traffic there but they are not officials you do not have to pay for parking. But they appreciate tips. You will have to walk along the road down to muddy in Rocky pathway. You can be a little dangerous if you’re not careful. Water shoes are a must here. Normally people just placed a belongings on the side and enter the water. It was amazing, very warm like an unlimited bath water. We spent here about 2 1/2 hours.

Cozy time in the hot springs that are not overwhelming with kids and loud people. Next to the Baldi Springs...we drive by it 3 times.
