Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pick up service and shuttle are very nice if they stop where you are staying. The listing for the tour was very informative so be sure to read and take it all in. Our guide Diego was very nice, professional, and the informative. The hanging Bridges is a nice visit. Diego likes to take a lot of pictures. We learned about the trees, and some wildlife. We did not see a sloth and I felt like we didn't look very hard for one. We then had to drive 1 person back to town because they weren't doing the full tour which seemed inconvenient. Next was the waterfall. Be prepared, it is an intense journey of 500 stairs down but it is worth it!!! I wish we had more time to spend there. We then went to a restaurant in town to eat the traditional Costa Rican food which was okay. Last we went for a hike to the volcano area. It was a fast paced hike to an area where you walk amongst the old lava-flow area with a view of the peak if weather allows you to see. It was informative but probably the least favorite part of the tour. This tour was a good introduction to some basic Costa Rican things and I enjoyed learning about it from Diego. Guys, please tip your guide!

The tour was really nice. The explanations of the guide were clear, the road was diverse, ranging from off-roads in the tropical forest, to city roads and a stop by a river. We also visited a Maleku village and learned a few Maleku words and about their customs. I would definitely recommend the tour!

The view was amazing and it was a great ride. We had Gonzalez as our raft guide and he was so energetic and made sure we were safe but had a lot of fun. He would show cool things along the river and perform flips for us to make sure we were laughing the whole way. It was a great experience but Gonzalez made it above and beyond

Oscar and Minor took us on a 3 in 1 tour today. They were on time, showed plenty of reptiles, birds and animals, took pictures drove us around. Took us to their cafe for a farm to table lunch and dropped us back at 4 pm.
Oscar is very skilled and is a local to La Fortuna he knows the details and is very professional.

My sister and I booked a super spontaneous tour today and it was just wonderful! Maurice, our guide, knew so much about literally everything in this forest and gave us a tour for all senses. We could touch, smell, hear, see and even taste so many different things. We saw multiple sloths and monkeys and frogs and tucans and snakes and and and… The other guide (Manuel) has an amazing eye and seemed genuinely happy for every animal he could show us. Overall an amazing experience with such a friendly and respectful atmosphere (to us and to the nature we’ve been in).

Thank you both so much for this wonderful tour!!

Incredible experience! Our tour guide Daniella was amazing-- so knowledgeable and fun to talk with. We saw two sets of mom and baby sloths and it was amazing to us that Danielle was able to spot them when they were so hidden to our eyes. We saw a baby sloth on her own so close by. It was WONDERFUL! We also saw Jesus lizards, a nest with a baby hummingbird, blue jean frogs and plants that would curl up the moment you touched it. Highly recommend this experience. It was fantastic!

We had an excellent experience with Steven. We saw tucons, humming birds, iguanas, vultures, and sloths. The ziplining experience was breathtaking and the hotsprings relaxing. Our guide Steven was helpful, considerate, ans went out of the way to make us feel comfortable.

This was such a great combo tour! We had a young man named Frendell (hope that’s spelled right) who took us through the entire chocolate and coffee tour. He explained the entire process of coffee and cocoa and included some history. We got to sample the coffee and chocolate and even tried a sugar cane shot. Later on, we went on the Sloth tour with a separate guide and spotted about 5 of them with his help. Highly recommend!

We did the early morning birding tour with Froy as our guide. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and helped us see so many great birds and other wildlife, including a collared anteater! Very special place. Highly recommend doing with a guide, it adds so much to the experience.

Everything about this tour was straightforward, easy, and so so worth it! We had Gabriel as our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. Despite it being our first time riding horses, it was super easy to pick up and made for a fun adventure with breathtaking views. We also each got a delicious refreshing coconut once we got to the top of the hill. Definitely recommend this tour!!

We did the hanging bridges and Arenal water fall for our 2 in one experience. The hanging bridges allowed you to go deep into the rain forest. Our guide Joshua was great and super knowledgeable explaining the eco system and about different insects and animals. Just wish we would have seen more animal-disappointing. We ate a fun lunch the moved on to the waterfall. Part of our tour group only did one activity do we spent the next 45 minutes dropping them off before going to the waterfall. This was a waste of time. I would recommend they not mix groups of people doing a digestive activity with this’d doing 2 in 1.
The waterfall was beautiful, a long way down and a long way up….over 500 steps each way. I woukd say you need to be in decent shape on the trek back up. Overall the bridges were a nice, calm, slow adventure.
