Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had an amazing time! This is a must for any trip to Costa Rica. Everyone in our group loved it and the guides were helpful, funny and made the trip even better. Jose, Caesar and Kendal made sure we were all safe and having a great time. I cannot recommend this trip enough!! We had 6 of us ranging from 18-77 and everyone said it was their favorite activity so far!

The pick up service and shuttle are very nice if they stop where you are staying. The listing for the tour was very informative so be sure to read and take it all in. Our guide Diego was very nice, professional, and the informative. The hanging Bridges is a nice visit. Diego likes to take a lot of pictures. We learned about the trees, and some wildlife. We did not see a sloth and I felt like we didn't look very hard for one. We then had to drive 1 person back to town because they weren't doing the full tour which seemed inconvenient. Next was the waterfall. Be prepared, it is an intense journey of 500 stairs down but it is worth it!!! I wish we had more time to spend there. We then went to a restaurant in town to eat the traditional Costa Rican food which was okay. Last we went for a hike to the volcano area. It was a fast paced hike to an area where you walk amongst the old lava-flow area with a view of the peak if weather allows you to see. It was informative but probably the least favorite part of the tour. This tour was a good introduction to some basic Costa Rican things and I enjoyed learning about it from Diego. Guys, please tip your guide!

We had a great time at the North Fields Coffee and Chocolate tour. Our guide Jonathan was very informative and spoke great English (impressive only having learned 1 year ago!).

We got to learn how chocolate was made from cacao plant and try it at each point - from the raw seeds to the beans to the finished product. It was hands-on and Jonathan made the chocolate in front of us.

Afterwards, we got to try some delicious coffee and learn about the history and economics of coffee in Costa Rica. He made the coffee in the style of his grandma, and it was the best cup that I had while I was here. Made sure to leave with some coffee beans before I left :)

Tour lasted ~2.5 hours and was a great mid-day excursion. Umbrellas are provided in case it gets rainy.

Family included myself, 47, my husband, 51, and our daughter, 19. After being fitted in our gear, we took tractor to the top. Well, not completely to the top. The hike and the steps were probably too much for me. I did make it and i was not last! For perspective, i have residual symptoms of MS, so the steps got difficult for me at the end. But i made it and it was worth the views. I probably should have opted for the 7 lines. So if you have any challenges keep that in mind. However if you can make it, it is well worth it. Also of note, my daughter is on the smaller side, so she did opt to ride with guides on a couple of lines. She even doubled up with a guide with another smaller rider. The guides were great with monitoring how they were progressing on the lines and recommending when to ride with a guide.

We did the combo package which included zip line and hanging bridges. The zip line was amazing. The views are some of the best in the world. We were a forum of 6 and purchase the pictures. We felt it ended up being a good deal. Felt safe the entire time.

We also did the hanging bridges and wow our tour guides were amazing. Secondly pay the extra small amount to have a guided tour. He was able to take pictures with my phones using his binoculars. We also passed hanging bridges with 3 monkeys and a baby on it. Saw All kids of animals included frogs, toucans, and snakes. Definitely recommend both activities!

The tour was really nice. The explanations of the guide were clear, the road was diverse, ranging from off-roads in the tropical forest, to city roads and a stop by a river. We also visited a Maleku village and learned a few Maleku words and about their customs. I would definitely recommend the tour!

The view was amazing and it was a great ride. We had Gonzalez as our raft guide and he was so energetic and made sure we were safe but had a lot of fun. He would show cool things along the river and perform flips for us to make sure we were laughing the whole way. It was a great experience but Gonzalez made it above and beyond

The staff were so helpful and kind. The food in the restaurant was ok. It more than an hour for our full meal, but it was fine. The different pools to soak for were amazing and it was fun to explore the gardens. I highly recommend the Los Lagos Hot Springs. PS we were not guests at the resort, but I really would have liked to have been. The grounds and facilities are amazing and so fun to explore.

Oscar and Minor took us on a 3 in 1 tour today. They were on time, showed plenty of reptiles, birds and animals, took pictures drove us around. Took us to their cafe for a farm to table lunch and dropped us back at 4 pm.
Oscar is very skilled and is a local to La Fortuna he knows the details and is very professional.

Incredible experience! Our tour guide Daniella was amazing-- so knowledgeable and fun to talk with. We saw two sets of mom and baby sloths and it was amazing to us that Danielle was able to spot them when they were so hidden to our eyes. We saw a baby sloth on her own so close by. It was WONDERFUL! We also saw Jesus lizards, a nest with a baby hummingbird, blue jean frogs and plants that would curl up the moment you touched it. Highly recommend this experience. It was fantastic!

We had an excellent experience with Steven. We saw tucons, humming birds, iguanas, vultures, and sloths. The ziplining experience was breathtaking and the hotsprings relaxing. Our guide Steven was helpful, considerate, ans went out of the way to make us feel comfortable.
