Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is another bazaar that will happens on only Friday Saturday and Sunday. If you are going there first time, you will probably find it interesting and unique. Most of the stalls are selling the same items.

Like one of the other reviewers, we were lucky to have Eddie as our tour guide - a tour arranged in advance by Trailfinders. He was immensely knowledgeable, well known in his locale, humorous and conscious of the fact that the day was hot and humid and we had only arrived the day before. The tour took in Dutch Square, with the statue to Queen Victoria in the centre. We visited Christ church and the ruins of St Paul's from which there are fantastic views of the city with the Straits in the distance.

Stairs were very steep. The view from the top of the hill was very beautiful. Souvenirs were quite overpriced and ‘meh’. The ‘church’ was just a ruin with multiple stone slabs. Overall, a very chill place to visit.

The Stadthuys meaning city hall is a historical structure situated in the heart of Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia in a place known as the Red Square. The Stadhuys is known for its red exterior and nearby red clocktower. It was built by the Dutch in 1650 as the office of the Dutch Governor.

The mosque was built on the water and seemed to be a popular tourist spot to watch sunset in Malacca. And yes, it looked romantically beautifully. However, the beach right next to the mosque's left offered a better view.

This is billed as a river walk but really there is little to see of interest. Once you are beside the river either walk into the town or use one of the trikes to peddle you around . Cheap enough for a 45min tour they will wait for you at each place of interest. I would recommend as it was so hot and exhausting and they know where to go instead of working with a map if you have limited time .

Excellent Views of melaka. The lift revolves 360 degrees so you can get views of all sides. It's very well organised and every one is seated, entering orderly.

Christ Church is the oldest functioning Protestant church in Malaysia. It’s very famous for its location and its red color.

We had the hotel in this area because it's the more interesting area in Melaka full of activities and things to see.
Almost everything can be reached in 10-15 minutes walking.
Apart from some very small areas which are quite touristic. All the rest in authentic.

Architecture was nice, but museum was just wax statues and paintings were nothing much. It was enjoyable, but definitely not worth the price.

A Famosa is an integral part of Melaka history.
Built by the Portuguese in 1512.
Occupied by the Dutch in 1641.
Demolished by the British in 1807.

Only the Porta de Santiago gatehouse and some ruins are left.
Snap some photos with the cannons.

Our family of 4 stayed at Double Tree Hilton Melaka and drove for about 30mins to reach Woof Station. The location is at a landed property with a huge garden for the 6 dogs to roam around. The dogs were able to come into the cafe/kitchen area with Aircon. The dogs were well-trained by the owners and understand many commands & can even shake hands with us! My boys had a fun-filled afternoon with all the doggies with different personalities! Owners (Fong and Sharine) were very friendly and we felt like we were chatting with our old friends. Will definitely come back again!

I wasn't going to visit this because it's super hot and humid in Melaka, but I'm glad I did it. It's an easy walk uphill and it's actually not that hot because of the ocean breeze. The church is in ruin, but it's still interesting and the views are good.
