- Eli v1 contributionGuide Navin is an excellent guide. He is very friendly, very patient and very accomodating to your wishes and needs. All in all we had a wonderful experience in discovering both the new and old town of Anuradhapura. Navin takes you to the loveliest places, while providing very clear and thorough explanations of what you are seeing. This really makes the places you visit come alive. In our opinion old town is definitely worth a visit. We did the afternoon tour and surely is something we will never regret. Very peaceful and nightfall created a very special atmosphere. Also, Navin brought us to a nice and cozy restaurant after the tour before dropping us safely at our stay (outside of Anuradhapura). We did not see a leopard (due to time- it is suggested to have the safari in the morning) but we managed to see almost every other animal! - Sergey PekarGdansk, Poland17 contributionsThis was a great tour. Here some details. Our tour started at 7:30 we arrived at the entrance about 12:30. And our safari lasted till 17:30. We returned to Colombo at about 21:30.
The cost of entrance was 23k rupees for 2 visitors (me and my wife) and additional cost for the car with driver of 19k. (It is better to have a cash as I when I wanted to pay by card I was told that terminal is not working)
We saw a lot of animals and birds deers, elephants, crocodiles, lizards. And 1 leopard. Yes you need to keep in mind that these guys a very sneaky and sensitive to loud sounds so it is very difficult to spot them. So in my opinion it was the great tour in a very beautiful place.

Good with kids too.
A full day in the sun can be quite hot, so Lampa split the day in two parts, giving us some time in the afternoon to retreat in the hotel pool during the hottest hours of the day. He also brought us to a brilliant restaurant for lunch, where we had one if the best curries yet. We were encouraged to eat with the hands, like the locals do. The company was also able to arrange a private transfer to the park for us at our request.
At the beginning of the Safari our guide explained that it is not always possible to see a leopard which we appreciated as we entered the day with the right expectation. We got to see a lot of wildlife including a crocodile, bear, mongoose, toucans, buffalo, eagles, monitor lizards and more. We had a wild elephant come up to our jeep within about 5 metres.

We had the most amazing time, with so many good memories. Driver Sam, did a perfect job adapting to our family needs, as one of family members suffers from epilepsy.
Beside seeing most of the planed things, he was also kind to visit shops on the road, so that we could taste king coconuts, fresh mangos, and the best bananas.
He made our trip unforgettable🙏
Only downside was, that our train ride was changed to an earlier train, supposedly due to mist in Ella, which we were told would be worse later. Mist was there anyway, so more than half the ride was with no visibility. Because of time change, we missed tea factory due to lack of time. We were not involved in the decision. This was the only downside of the trip.
With so many other good memories, we still had a five star experience. - faiqa g1 contributionThis experience was outstanding. The accommodations were best. Sampat, our driver, was courteous and very helpful. One day we required a doctor at 11pm. We called him and he was able to come to our aid and was at hotel in 5 minutes to take us to emergency.
The tour itself was amazing, Sampat took us everywhere and provided detailed history.
I would highly recommend this tour.
