Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- maisagteixeiraCampo Grande, MS33 contributionsIn this park you can get a nice walk while seeing different kinds of birds and animals. The beautiful trees may also make your visit even better. If you have kids, stopping at one of the three playgrounds should be a good idea. In this case, I suggest to take a picnic towel and some snacks to spend some time. My daughter loves it.Written 5 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pauls_Travel_TipsSeattle141 contributionsThis is an excellent aquarium and at the time of my visit, all free, though I'm told that may change. I'm used to salt water aquariums, so going to an all fresh water one was a really nice change, especially one of this grade. There is very little in English (you're in Campo Grande after all), but you're there to see all the fish in a hoard of aquariums, some of them huge and an outdoor exhibit with caimans, which also has underwater viewing windows inside.
You just have to book a ticket 2-3 days in advance. That is a problem for those who don't read and write in Portuguese as the website doesn't support other languages. And if you're from the United States, you're expected to know that USA is actually Estados Unidas. That matters when the drop down for where you're from is in alphabetical order and you're looking for good ole USA. I'm sure a non-Portuguese reader could get through the ticket ordering using a translate feature, but it was just easier for me to hand it over to my Brazilian wife. Hopefully, they'll add English to the website, especially since Campo Grande is a gateway to the incredible Pantanal and many different nationalities go there.
Overall, a very well impressive place and absolutely worthy of a visit.Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Just focuses on several indigenous groups (Bororo, Xavante and Karaja mainly) but has excellent collections of these 3. Probably not so interesting for someone who doesn't have some knowledge of the groups as there is not a lot of explanation available. Only slightly frustrating thing was the lighting - some exhibits under glass in the floor, with lighting not very bright made it hard to see all the artifacts (the low lighting is probably to help preserve the feathers..??)
Also has a decent natural history exhibit room.Written 28 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Artur MPorto Alegre, RS4,691 contributionsInteresting to take some pictures of these big parrots. Children found it fun but besides that, nothing special at all. There's more to see in the city.Written 19 May 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Joaobatista20Santa Maria, RS192 contributionsThe house of the Bais is a small museum that you can visit in 15-30 min. There are some paintings by the artist that are worth to be seen, particularly "The Holy Supper" where she is side-by-side with Jesus.Written 18 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AndrewRitchieAuckland, New Zealand121 contributionsA well lit walkway along the route of the old railway line and has great views over the city.
We walked this on a Thursday night and came across the market selling fruit, vegetables, hot fresh food an other usual market trinkets. There was also some live stand up performance which drew a decent crowd.
The place was a mix of runners, walker and in a separate lane bikers and Rollerblades. There was a real mix of families, couples, old and young and it gave a great feel for Campo Grande.
A very pleasant evening walk, go hungry!Written 15 May 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Spending your afternoon in company in this park is one of them; there are many activities you can do here and many facilities that can be used to work out or play football.Written 22 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
