Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

They proactively reached out using WhatsApp and maintained communication up to meeting the driver, for follow up on the service and any additional needs.
    Very impressed.

The driver texted me while I was in a huge line to clear the immigration line @ the NRT airport. He was very kind & professional driver. I hope to see him again for the next trip! Thank you!

The driver was polite and professional. He made sure my son made it safely to his hotel. He communicated effectively and was able to locate son at baggage clearance. Everything was well organized and this company did an outstanding job! I highly recommend!

Our driver Komei, was very professional and spoke good English, he arrived early to ensure that he doesn't keep us waiting which was very considerant of him. He contacted me through Whatsapp as soon as we landed and sent me all required details for the meeting point. We were a big family with elderly, teens and kids so we preferred to use a hired taxi instead of trains, which was a good choice, The over all ride was very comfortable and all the family were pleased with the service. I would higly recommend using the company for a hustle free ride from the airport.

My wife and I took this packed 9-Day Japan and South Korea Highlight Tour for our 30th year anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, as we were exposed to the culture, sites, and people of both countries in a short span of time. By the end of the tour though, we were both exhausted form all the long day activities and demand of the various individual tours and activities. Here are some of my observations related to this tour.
    1. Th transfers to and from the airports to the hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul were all private in mint-condition vehicles, on-time, and well organized.
    2. The hotels in Tokyo and Osaka were both good-quality, clean, and had good breakfasts in the mornings. The hotel in Soul was not as nice and was quite dated.
    3. The daily tours were all nicely organized, and we enjoyed them very much.
    4. The food tours were all good quality variations of the different types of meals, from restaurants to street food.
    5. The 9-Day Japan and Korea Highlight Tour is advertised as a group tour. It is not a group tour with the same group throughout. It is actually a collection of daily itineraries and individual tours that you join different groups for the various activities. At times, getting to and from the tours could be a bit of a hassle, as you are mostly on your own to do those. And since you are with different people in different days or at different times, you do not make a strong connection to the different people you encounter in the tour.
    6. Hong, our head tour guide, who developed and provided oversight and execution of our entire tour activities, was quite pleasant and willing to provide any help we needed remotely to get us feel welcome in the various tours or activities. We are highly appreciative of all his hard work in getting this multi-day tour arranged for us and looking after us (remotely) during the entire tour.
    7. You need to be in a physically good condition in this tour, as you might walk for hours each day, or have long days for the different activities provided. Some days are quite long, such as the one you ride the KTX high-speed train from Seoul to Busan and (5 am till 11 pm) and having a full-day Busan tour in the middle.
    8. You do not have much free time to do anything else that you might find interesting to participate.
Overall, though, I highly recommend this 9-day Japan and Korea Highlight tour, if you only have a short time interval to visit both countries, and would like to immerse yourself to the culture, history, sites, people, and food from both countries, and if you do not mind the physical demand and some long days.

Although I am an experienced traveler, I recommend that anyone going to Japan for the first time do so with guidance, and Shawn and Becki are excellent guides! They are vastly knowledgeable about Japan, as well as fluent in Japanese. They have mastered the ins-and-outs of travel in Japan as well as the local customs. You can stick close by them if that is what you prefer, but they encourage you to explore, using WhatsApp to make sure you don’t get lost.

They have carefully chosen Japanese destinations that will allow you to experience its culture, history, and food. The hotels we stayed in were all first-rate. Shawn and Becki’s network of contacts made it possible for us to have some very special experiences. Our group got to take a class in ink-brush painting, do a meditation with a zen master, and chat with a geisha-in-training. I should add that what a group does depends on the expressed wishes of the group members.

Japan is a wonderfully strange place. Travel with Shawn and Becki, and you will get to experience both its mysteries and its magic.

ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations!! In late September my husband (his dream trip), son (his high school graduation gift) and I took an 8-day tour with a small group with Becki and Shawn. We had a blast as we toured multiple cities across Japan. They really accomplished some of our wish list items we wanted to see or do. From history of cities/architecture, Japanese cuisine, and seeing the heart of cities to countryside mountain views. They pour their hearts and souls into these trips. You can tell by their story telling to how they pick the seats on the train how they are passionate about the Japanese culture. We are so thankful to have met and spent time with them. We fell in love with Japan and already planning another trip back. Hoping to take another tour with Becki and Shawn!

Drive81 made my departure from Haneda Airport a breeze. Booking their departure drop-off service was the best decision I made. The driver arrived at my hotel right on time, handled my luggage, and ensured a comfortable ride to the airport. Their English-speaking attendant was a big help, especially when navigating through the airport. I had a worry-free and pleasant journey to the airport, allowing me to savor every last moment of Tokyo. I can't thank Drive81 enough for their impeccable service. I'll be choosing them for all my future Tokyo trips!

The location is interesting and offers some great views of coast line and entrance to Tokyo bay. Large and small Buddha statues were scattered throughout. It is hot in summer and there is considerable climbing of stairs. Guide, Maura, was pleasant and considering.

Great ride. Our guide was very helpful. He adapted the ride so we could do a shorter ride of 40km. We have a lovely lunch in a traditional restaurant. Very nice flat riding though the rice fields. It was the perfect way to spend a day of stopover.
