What travellers are saying
- DeanoW70Whitley Bay, UK111 contributionsFor anyone with a bit of adventure in them this is a must if you’re staying in RAK.
Great staff who put you at ease when facing something than most of us haven’t done before!Written 22 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Perfect in length (2 1/2 hours), relaxing, exciting (informative), demonstrating the heritage of the country in a very nice way. As a bonus you can see camels, turtles and a wide variety of birds on the way there.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and patient. Really excellent.Written 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Parking very easy. Gigantic Carrefore.
RAK is developing fast - the malls will only get bigger and more spectacular!Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is very casual and you can wander around the starting area and get very close to the camels, the locals were very hospitable and took time to explain what was happening and the procedures, I believe our wives were the only women present and everyone was very friendly to them. No grandstand or seating, you literally follow on the road alongside the track as the camels race and each race is approx 8 k.
Well worth the experience in spite of the early start,Written 29 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Entrance fee was 5 AED and an extra 20AED (if I remember it right) if you want to do the clay pot. Interesting things on display as many others have said. This fort turned museum should not be missed when visiting RAK for the first time.Written 12 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jagadish SRiyadh, Saudi Arabia88 contributionsPark at the dam and walk the steps to the flag post. You have good sunset views from here. You can return from here or continue on the path a little downhill, the path is dry & a little slippery here until you come to a fork. Take the path on the left marked by a blue arrow and you will return to where you started in a round about path. It’s about an hours trekWritten 9 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MARY ABengaluru, India114 contributionsLiked the place. A bit tough but a good climb. Well maintained fort. Good view below. And the limestone mountain behind. Very far from Dubai. You have to time it so that you reach either early morning or early evening. Worth a visitWritten 30 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jameel AbedinDubai, United Arab Emirates162 contributionsAlso know as the Ghost Town, was very interesting to see, lots of Art put up and plans to do this place up should be a great tourist spot in due time when they have finished with all their work on it.Written 10 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carl HDubai, United Arab Emirates100 contributionsIn RAK for a couple of days and found this place on a general internet search. So we drove there and paid the 20aed to park inside as i have broken achillies tendon, (you can park outside and walk in for free).
The rides were all working and varied from kids stuff to adult only white knuckle types! Staff seemed a bit bored as the park was quiet, but chatting to them they stated weekends are busy and in wint2et its hectic. The grounds are well kept and clean and prices are reasonable.
Worth a visit but bring a picnic as covid has closed concession stands for the time being.Written 7 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guides Maurice and Gio made us feel safe, at ease and really made the experience extra great! So much fun. Then the Flight, in superman flying position, again feels very safe with the full body harness. Reach speed of 160km/hr but you don’t feel it. - Soumya NayakDubai, United Arab Emirates656 contributionsThis should be called Lulu Hypermarket instead of RAK mall because most of the space is occupied by Lulu & there are very few other shops. Few restaurants are there too. All visitors who entered with me went to Lulu.
There is enough covered car parking inside the complex on the ground floor & lot more space outside the mall.Written 2 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
