If you snorkel out to the point on the left hand side it is possible to see some corals (brain coral variety). I even saw a moray eel. The middle section of the bay it is possible to surf. But there is one almighty eyesore in the form of a giant quarry where there is regular blasting. - Christos M.121 contributionsDadonghai Beach is a nice, sandy beach with numerous restaurants and "beach bars" nearby (wouldn't really call these beach bars, more like tiny shops where you might be able to buy a beer or two). A few places offer sunbeds, but except for maybe one place that belongs to some hotel, the rest only have wooden sunbeds that are quite uncomfortable and somewhat dirty / old-looking.
Now, to the main point: you won't be allowed near the water if the weather is a little windy or it's after 6:30 / 7:00pm. Lifeguards will forcibly close off the beach with ropes. Having stayed at a hotel nearby, we noticed that the beach was closed off about 3-4 times a week.
