Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We did the half day trek in the morning and everything was first class. Our guide was excellent from the moment he collected us from our hotel. The pre tour info was helpful and we had also popped into the shop in LP when passing the day before to check on what we needed to wear. The centre is delightful, with great catering, loos and refreshments. We met and then fed our two elephants before heading off into the jungle for our trek. This was done at a sensible pace with plenty of breaks for photos. Our guide was brilliant at photo opportunities and we have some wonderful pics as a result. Boots, water and sunscreen all provided. We just wore shorts and t shirts as it was very hot! We spent about one hour 40 mins on the trek and then said goodbye to our elephants. The trip finished with an excellent lunch back at the centre. We thoroughly recommend Mandalao - they are ethical, focused on the well being of their elephants and able to allow tourists like us to have an unforgettable experience and contribute to the future of the project.
