Excellent & Beautiful place full of history & the Naval Academy is a must see especially John Paul Jones' burial site that is guarded.
For example, the Chapel is beautiful, the Crypt of John Paul Jones is very interesting and the chance to view the midshipmen formations for the noon meal is inspirational.

... by a lovely guide (aptly named Patience) at the Visitors Center, we made our way to city center, taking in the beautiful buildings, flowers everywhere, and the intriguing sights and smells of this charming town.
Annapolis is quaint, very clean, very safe, filled with history, great views on a beautiful port, rich with history, great food and drink, etc.

Unfortunately, it is only possible to view these from the outside.

Wish we'd have had more time on site to tour the Charles Carroll home, but we loved the Saturday Vigil Mass.
