Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Amina PAtlanta, GA46 contributionsMy visit to the Miraflores Locks in Panama was truly unforgettable! The entire experience was a blend of stunning views and fascinating history. Watching the massive ship navigate through the locks was awe-inspiring, and the informative movie provided great insights into the engineering marvel of the Panama Canal. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, making the visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this attraction to anyone visiting Panama; it's a must-see that beautifully showcases the country's rich maritime heritage!Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TSG365San Diego, CA101 contributionsUse Uber to go here, very cheap. Deals for days and if you like shopping you will shop until you drop! There is something here for everyone. I don’t believe there are 700 stores in this mall as I did walk around the entire thing, but it took me 5 hours to go through it. Start on the first floor and see if you can work your way all the way to the other end. When you get to the second floor, it doesn’t seem like the more exciting stores are up there. In general, some of the stores start to blend together and look like they sell the same stuff but different names. You have to pay to use the restroom, but if you have a receipt from Paul restaurant, that will get you in for free. The bathrooms are nothing special.Written 30 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

My trip to the Visitor Center was a letdown as it consisted of a film and a viewing platform at the Miraflores lock where I saw no ships. This museum is packed with information about all kinds of aspects of the canal with photographs, documents, maps, films, taped recollections. Definitely worth a visit.Written 17 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeff SCleveland, OH106 contributionsThe architecture is very intriguing as you pass by, so a venture was in order to see more detail. It's truly a magnificent feat to see more of the features of this tall cathedral. Truly worth exploring and seeing.Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- AndMHGilroy, CA267 contributionsIf you are interested in history, it's worth a trip. other than the cathedral tower it is a large area full of ruins. It was a moderate size town with 7 convents that all appeared large. The Museum is interesting, but mainly a reading one rather than one of many items. on display. It takes a while to get there (30 mins from Casco Antiqua) but only costs around $5 on Uber.Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian5900California435 contributionsWe took this subway from the airport to Casa Viejo. This is a modern subway that takes visa card so we didn't even have to buy a separate ticket! The station is only one block away from the airport terminals. We exited at Terminal 2 and turned right toward the large subway building. At Corredor Sur station, you have to get out at the right side to transfer to line 2 toward San Miguelito. There, we walked a few minutes to Line 1 toward Albrook. To go to Casa Viejo, we stopped at 5 de Mayo.Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeff SCleveland, OH106 contributionsThis is a great mall with really good places to visit but the cuisine is also excellent too.
In regards to this, I was checking the mall and a few nice stores also. On the third floor, I saw many restaurants and checked them out. When I saw the Olive Garden here, I thought, Gee haven't been to an Olive Garden in years! I'll check their menu out!
Wow, what I paid at the Olive Garden about 10 years ago in the states, the prices now have nearly doubled! It was mid afternoon, in the latter part if the day, and I usually don't eat a large meal. I wanted something good but light and non-stomach bursting.
So I ordered the unlimited soup and breadsticks feature from the menu. Also, a very good Moccino too.
My first selection was the Minestrone Soup, then the Pasta E Fagioli, and finished with the Chicken and Gnocchi Soup. Needless to say, they were all indeed tasty and rich!
However, my ultimate favorite was the Pasta E Fagioli Soup. A 2-bean chilli more or less, incorporated into a tomato broth or base, seashell-pasta, meat, spices as well as onions.Written 11 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Jeff SCleveland, OH106 contributionsJust the thought that in the 1600s, they were able to remove and transport each and every stone of this baroque Mercedarian cathedral from its original location in the Old Quarter (first city of Panama) to the current location in Casco Viejo now, is overwhelming.
In addition, they brought the original roof rafters' structure along with the original wooden columns as well! Can you imagine the old-growth wood from centuries ago and they are still intact and holding this incredible cathedral's roof structure in place todayWritten 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Afternoons were very empty - in fact there was NO ONE there twice in the afternoons when I went. Table games closed and only had slots. On Sat. evening there were more people in the place but not too many. The casino is spacious and clean. I am not a slot fan but there was a very good assortment there. Overall even when it had people inside there was no real vibe to the place. Was very quiet with no excitement. Was staying at the JW so it was just a few steps away for me.Written 18 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
