The tour guides were amazing and took great pictures for a small fee of course lol. The island was beautiful and the food was great. The trip to and from the island were beautiful, with fantastic views of Panama City, The swimming was great and the visit to Taboga was fun. But the best part of this tour were the staff on the boat. They not only provided tremendous service (they surely kept the drinks coming!) but always seemed to be having fun. The driver was also great - he even spotted a sloth for us high in a tree! We loved the boat ride and seeing three types of monkeys, birds, an iguana, and a couple crocodiles! The visit to the locks and seeing a ship go through it was awesome. He walked us through everything so we didn't have to wonder about any of the procedures as we went to the visitor center. We even got to watch and IMAX movie regarding the canal. This was a private tour including the old town, the 3 islands, the Panama Canal and many other stops on our way. José, our guide, was an amazing guide! He was very knowledgeable going beyond and above making sure that our needs were addressed. He was very caring ensuring that we always felt safe. Count on him to show you very exceptional places! I definitely recommend him! - TomWarren, PA4 contributionsGreat adventure. Beautiful islands, sand, palm trees, and crystal clear water. The snorkeling was very good, with big beautiful fan corals and schools of vivid blue fish at the first island out at the reef edge. Magical. No bugs while we were there. The roads and facilities were rustic as advertised. The traffic was crazy, so we were glad we did not drive ourselves. The lunch was bigger and better than expected, very filling. One thing that would make it better would be to provide swim fins to those who want them to go deeper, and the tidal currents were pretty strong to swim against at times without them. I was well taken care of the entire day, as the staff are attentive, and our tour guide, Edwin, answered all questions knowledgeably. You will take tons of pictures. Once over, the bus trip back to Panama City goes very quickly. - Jason MMontreal, Canada12 contributionsGreat time with Captain Bryan and his crew Emmanuel and Matthew. Huge Cat, 75', good bar drinks (no wine though) and decent lunch and lots of swimming. Bring your Passport! Required for inspection at the dock by Panamanian Marines before boarding. Also bring a phone charger! 8 hours is a long day! Meeting point is in front of "Canal House Panamá" restaurant, just half a block south of TGI Friday's Amador. This was a great "chill" day which we truly enjoyed. - michellewK7839DSMountain Home, AR446 contributionsCarlos arranged a tour specifically tailored for us after finding out our interests, our other plans while in Panamá, and our schedule. He was prompt, had snacks and water in the car, and spoke English really well. At our request, part of our tour was a walking tour to see the beautiful old churches in the historic district. (Beautiful and fascinating) He told us about the city, how it has evolved, how the Panamá Canal Influenced development, and many other historical facts.
