First time was so good and timely, we set up an appointment four months before our second trip. They use pleasant drivers (with roomy cars) that even describe some of the major sites. Our second trip required a last minute change of resorts, but Amber Moon easily accommodated our travel change with perfect timing! His drivers are very friendly and happy to help with luggage and transfers. - Danielle B1 contributionI found Camilo on Trip Advisor after searching for someone to assist with transportation for a tour I was organizing for a group of 11. All of the positive reviews he has are well-deserved and correct. Camilo is very professional and easy to get along with. He was very helpful during the planning stages of the trip and helped me to stay informed as the recent protests in Panama kicked off and were on-going during our trip. As a person who had never traveled to Panama before, I had to rely on the vendors and tour operators on the ground to help me help our group navigate the city during a turbulent time. I feel very lucky to have had Camilo on our side.
I was very impressed with the airport transfers. Members of the group arrived at different times and someone from Camilo’s team was waiting (with a sign) to pick them up at the airport. In addition to the airport transfers, we did a tour of Portobelo-Isla Mamey with Camilo. Even despite the down-pouring rain that we encountered that day(!), members of the group still remember it as a wonderful and memorable day. And I have to attribute that to Camilo. We booked two excursions, the first with tour in Panama city and panama canal, really interesting and we saw a lot and Bill gave us lot of details and really professional and mad it as unique and self tailored for the client. The second tour with monkey Island was such fun. He is very knowledgeable , patient and lets you create your own schedule that fits your interests. - Frequent Traveller22 contributionsIf you are lugging large luggages, travelling with children or travelling in a group of more than 2 people..... UBER is the most cost friendly option to travel from Tocumen Airport to Panama City.
Once you are out of arrival, lock in the free airport WIFI (free for 30 minutes), unless you already have a data plan sim card . Book your ride with UBER and stating the pick up location at Row 15-18. This is also indicated on the UBER App. Exit the Arrival Terminal, cross the road and proceed to Row 15-18 to wait for your ride. That’s it. That simple.
It cost me USD12.50 to get to the city centre, all inclusive (my arrival time was at 1830). Read all the hassles about taking Taxis costing $30 or more and people being rip off.... which prompted me to write this. His service allowed us 100% private transportation to our resort in Playa Blanca from Tocumen Airport and back to Panama City for very reasonable rates. His drivers were all professional, punctual and courteous, and complimentary water was very welcomed in the sometimes heavy Panamanian traffic. We even booked a day trip with Panama on Wheels to Monkey Island and hike in the Soberania National Park and had an amazing lunch afterwards at the Las Delicias de Hilda fish market. All tickets booked ahead and any changes or questions Gonzalo was quick to respond. Booking was easy and PayPal made it worry free. - Momoac875 contributionsI booked a private tour with Michael and had an amazing day. He was professional, kind, knowledgeable, punctual, and made me feel comfortable and safe as I was a solo female. I wanted to see some less touristy areas and he always kept a close eye on me to ensure my safety.
