Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- qliz10Panama City, Panama1 contributionThis a great place to find special and alternative gifts made by local artists and entrepreneurs. All their products capture the essence of the Panamanian culture with a modern twist. Wether you're in town for a few days or you a resident, make sure you go to Super Mini, I promise you won't be disappointed!
Also they always host events that enlighten local artists as well as folklore and culture.Written 30 May 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not only is the produce here fresh it has never been refrigerated and so keeps much better than the more expensive stuff you buy in the supermarkets here.Written 23 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - zooey2015Scottsdale, AZ4 contributionsWe stopped by after seeing them on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed!! We walked in and the girl at the counter got someone who spoke English and he was fantastic explaining the different chocolates and guiding us to what we might like.. We wanted to try their corn chocolate since it sounded so interesting and he gave us a complimentary one to try. It was very good you could taste roasted corn mixed with the chocolate, a very different combination but oh so good. While we were eating he explained the process how they make that particular chocolate candy and the reason they chose to do it. If you can make a stop there and you like chocolate you will be very happy!Written 20 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fidel BPanama City, Panama0 contributionsThis is a very large store divided in departments. They have a large selection of clothes and other house stuff. The most attractive point is the price of things....really cheap!!!! Unfortunately, this is due to the low quality of the merchandize. But it is definitely a convenient place to find clothes, shoes, and pretty much anything you need in the hous , at a very affordable price!!!Written 4 March 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - trishL006Mission Viejo, CA32 contributionsThis store had the largest selection by far of wood carvings, masks, clothing, all the indigenous crafts you're looking to buy. - amaziliahouseSantiago de Veraguas, Panama6 contributionsWe love shopping at El Motete and discovering so many great new products. The best part of El Motete is knowing that by shopping here, you are directly improving the quality of life of many small, local producers.
There are products for just about anything you would want or need: from skincare, to home decor, to fresh greens and produce. El Motete is a great place to learn about the local budding entrepreneurial and agro revolution in Panama.Written 6 November 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
