Beautiful island. Walk to lookout well worth it for the amazing views. Even better views from the second summit. Locals were friendly and buying from their stalls helps the local economy.

Colo-I-Suva is a beautiful place. My husband and I went right at opening in hopes of seeing some of the many birds within the rainforest. We had to wait for the forest rangers to check that the park was safe since there had been a lot of rain the days before. If you are traveling off season be sure to check the weather as the area is prone to flooding. We got lucky and the park was open.
We walked down the 100 meter road leading to the pools; this was great because we got to hear a lot of bird song and saw some of rare birds we came to see. This is a hot walk so if you’re there for the pools just get a ride to the bottom. We had an afternoon appointment so we only had a couple hours to explore- we basically got down to the upper pool for a quick selfie and had to head back. Another bonus to off season - we had the place to ourselves!

Well worth a visit - there's a good range of interesting exhibits. Nice cafe, too. $20 entry for overseas visitors is a little steep, but I don't mind paying it to support the museum.

Worth a visit! Gorgeous array of fresh fruit and veg, and some delicious precooked snacks and meals available too. Definitely get a roti parcel and a slice of cassava cake.

Normally closed on Sunday they are hungry for business. Fiji is just reopening after the pandemic and the merchants and vendors are desperate for business. Support the return of tourism to Fiji!!!

Almost across the street from the Botanical Thurston Gardens, a small opened grass area, and a kids playground. Not a traditional park, but nice views of the ocean and mountains

Great hike just out of suva. You can start just behind the cement works or drive up to the reservoir. Gets steep and roots tho so be prepared with good shoes and plenty of water. Great views of the hills behind and of suva. We started at the reservoir and took just over an hour to get to the top. The man at the reservoir offered to lock our car in there because he said it was unsafe but we politely declined and it was fine - just don't leave any valuables there. If you start from the reservoir take note of where you joined the main track for the return journey. We did a bit of cross country!

Suva's Hotspot. It has got food outlets, shopping mall, clothing shops, bars, cinema, bakery, good parking, ATMs and travel agent shop. If you are in a hurry, this is where you can find variety of things that you want or need before you leave.

Fairly short/easy walk heading towards Albert Park & Botanical Gardens sits this historic building, more so a courthouse.
I had my own private tour, sort of by several security personnel couldn't have been nicer to show me around, past the clock tower, not really visible from the front into an actual Parliament chamber or a fancy court room.

This must be the worst presented market that I have seen as it is inside a ghastly featureless concrete structure. Each stallholder has a small caged section so if you go into one you feel slightly trapped with you, the products and the stallholder.

There is a fair range of local looking craft wares with some excellent tourist items. We did not buy anything as it was so off-putting.

Right in the center of this bustling city center, mainly a grocery store, and a few other little shops.
Nothing at all exciting about this place, mainly locals.
