Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- JD G1 contributionCaptain (and chef) Lex and the crew Jason and Zach were so friendly and fun. My wife and I had an amazing time on the catamaran snorkeling trip. I just have had 15 slices of the pizza too, thanks Lex. Beautiful water and stunning reef and coral while snorkeling.Written 13 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elizabeth J2 contributionsWow, wow, wow! We had an amazing trip to Fiji. We did the resort vacation for the first few days and it was great. Then we boarded “Big Blue Fiji” and had an experience of a lifetime. We were able to see so many islands and features that Fiji offers.
The boat was great, the crew was absolutely amazing. Jerry was an incredible Captain with knowledge of the islands, winds and beautiful scenery. George, 1st mate, was a great fisherman and extremely knowledgeable. Cisco, aka chief, was an incredible chef. Every meal was delicious. We ate like royalty.
I really can’t say enough but I can’t think of any better way to visit FijiWritten 28 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All gear supplied and we had 2 Dave master given one of our party was relatively new to Scuba. They take cash or card. My suggestion use cash and avoid the 4% fee.
Felt very looked after as they knew the sites, paid attention to detail with good dive briefs and even swapped out our tanks. Apart from normal checks and enjoying the dives we didn’t have to do a thing!Written 31 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Immu was my driver and guide, and he did a wonderful job navigating the gravel roads and narrow bridges. Because it is the rainy season, and it had rained that morning , he was extra careful on the bumpy roads. He is very polite and professional, and I had a great day.Written 31 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roxy3 contributionsPapillon is a gorgeous, comfortable and classy yacht. My cabin felt like an airy jewel box where I could indulge in proper rest and relaxation. The captain and crew went above and beyond to ensure my friends and I had an adventurous, yet relaxing, time in Fiji. Since I love to snorkel and dive, the captain focused on visiting the best Fiji has to offer in underwater scenery and wildlife. I felt safe onboard no matter what the sea conditions were because the captain and crew were so knowledgeable and skilled at keeping Papillon in top condition. We were lucky to spend multiple weeks on Papillon, which allowed us to sail throughout Fiji’s different island groups. Each group has its own flavor of underwater topography and sea creatures, and above the water you can find a mix of village life and luxe resorts—the captain will tailor your trip to suit whatever you’d like to experience. Papillon’s two best hangout spots are the flybridge which offers 360 degree views of each location, and the trampolines at the bow. I loved reading and hanging out while looking at the changing tropical colors of sea, sky and land around us. Of course, fresh coconut water, fresh fish and the freshest tropical fruits completed the unforgettable, stunning experience.Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We paid 40 fijian dollars for the hotel shuttle to take us from the First Landing resort to the first landing village. A 4 minute drive. The resort told us the tour was 40 fijian dollars for 3 of us for the tour. But it was just for the 4 minute drive. Then we get there and they charged us 10 fijian dollars each for the "tour" basically they showed us a hut, a drum and a church from the outside. The tour was 10 minutes maximum. We mentioned We hadn't tried the kava and the tour lady invited us to her house to try it. Then asked us to donate money. Then she saw a community member walking by with more tourists and she quickly hid the money we donated to her then she asked her sister to hide it. She said when someone invites you to their home you donate money. Like wtf? That lady was lying through her teeth. You can tell she was hungry for money. They get plenty of money because they have tourists everyday. They are just greedy. We didn't believe anything she said. They were pushing us to buy their hand crafted items when we saw the exact things at the tourist shops. They were absolutely awful. We only bought one item each and that was because we wanted to buy them already from elsewhere but didn't have time to go. Do NOT DO THE TOUR. THEY FEED YOU LIES JUST TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. CROOKS!!Written 18 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kristy S1 contributionDo not book with this company, they completely scammed us out of our money and haven’t responded yet on refunding us. We booked 4 surf transfers 2 months before our trip in July and paid in full, and during our week in Fiji they completely ghosted us and missed their scheduled pickups. Something must’ve happened because I had a lovely chat with Audrey in May, and then 2 weeks prior to the trip I noticed fewer and fewer responses. This was our honeymoon trip that was greatly focused on surfing and by the time we got to Fiji it was too late to book elsewhere.
