Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On Saturdays, just hop the bus from where you are. Lots of stalls and selections, food, clothes, souvenirs, t shirts and a local sort of show.

We loved the old CICC building and the Sunday service that we attended there when visiting the island. The church is decorated with colourful stained glass windows, which were open to a cooling breeze and a view of "the needle". The enthusiastic harmonised singing of the congregation was wonderful and it was fun to see the different groups of locals egging each other on. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and we were invited to share morning tea with them after the service. All in all, it was an uplifting experience and the perfect way to spend our last morning on the island.

I really liked this snorkel adventure with the family. The swim was easy and we were able to see a lot of cool things and I loved the shipwreck.

The small museum is actually a wing of the library on Rarotonga. So much information and artifacts relating to Cook Islands history and thr culture of the islands.
Unfortunately photography was not allowed within the museum, so I had to take handwritten notes and sketch the artifacts. However, out in the library section, there more items on display and they COULD be photographed.
For a 70 year old visitor from the Sonoran Desert of North America (Phienix, Arizona, USA), the cultural knowledge of the Cook Islands was mostly new to me. However the humidity and lack of circulating air (no AC nor even fans) made me uncomfortable after an hour inside the museum.
Overall I'm glad I went to the museum, learned much, and it was worth the walk from the bus stop on the main road.

A great local Catholic Church with Sunday Mass services to suit everyone. Very welcoming congregation. Kids went off to Sunday School and reported back as to what they had learnt too. Fantastic singing. Windows and doors were open for great ventilation.

I've never seen a mural this long, colorful, and detailed. It was amazing. It was a beautiful day. The mural was easy to find.

This well-established Jeweler specializes in the Cook Island Black Pearls. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Assisted us without any 'hard sell' and went out of their way to ensure we were happy with our purchase. This was a very special purchase to mark our 30th Wedding Anniversary and it was made complete by their professionalism and attention to detail. I highly recommend.

Like many museums in small countries this one is also small. However the building is relatively spacious and the exhibits presented well.

The exhibition on missionary activity was interesting (sequential development on each island) and I loved the beautiful kumete (bowls) nearby.

I was a bit hot from walking around this precinct so my visit was short due to a need for a swim but it was useful and I learned some new things about the Cooks.

Definitely worth a visit but don’t expect a Te Papa experience.

Took advantage of an overcast rainy day to visit art galleries, museums and shops. The Little Red Gallery was a lovely place with some amazing art. Worth a visit.
