Exceptional views both out of the cable car and when you arrive at the top (you can take photos of the city spread before you and also include cable cars in your photos which is cool). I took the return ticket option as much the same price and meant I could take funicular up, cable car down, then cable car back up and funicular down for the full experience and - more importantly - land back at the same point in a familiar street!
There are a few shops which are quite good and little snack places but the main cafe gets very, very busy and does not have that great a range of food. The toilet facilities though are clean and plentiful.
Note that there is also a nature trail area at the top that is fantastic to do for bird sightings in particular and this also leads to an observatory.
The site has very helpful staff who speak perfect English and who are managing the queues with quiet authority (the zoo is also up in this area so gets very crowded).
Overall, this visit was everything I hoped it would be. Definitely recommend.

It is believed that this hill -now in the middle of town- was of spriritual importance to the native Indian population. The stone structures you can observe, date from the times of the reconquista early 1800s when the Spanish crown tried to re-establish its rule. Later on it was decided to develop the site into a park. A good initiative, as now it is a pleasant place with shady trees and shrubs sprinkled with water. Moreover, a nice viewpoint at the top that can be reached by walking up narrow staircases.

Visited as one of the stops of the hop on hop off bus.
Relatively expensive at 18k pesos per adult but you can understand why.
Sensational views of the city and immaculate facilities.
Lift up lord knows how many floors then escalator for the final bit.
There isn't an ' open sky' view point as such even though the name may suggest, all behind glass unless you look up to the heavens then the roof is open style, understandable really unless they want tourists to take the 2 second descent.
A genuine must see if visiting Santiago , views more spectacular than Cerro San Crisobal in my opinion.

English tour guide Jasmine was lovely and gave us a very comprehensive history of the vineyard and its wines. The tour was worth the money and the wines tasty.

Costanera Center is a huge mall and very busy. There are endless Stores, a grocery store on the lower level and more. I prefer the charming Parque Arauco shopping center.

Even though we did not know much about Pablo Neruda, the house/museum was a wonderful experience. The audio tour was well done (and included with the tour price) and thorough and the house is so interesting architecturally with the eclectic decor. There's a good video before you go on the tour to get you up to speed on Neruda's life.

Worth a visit! We came to see the museum based on the recommendation from the hotel concierge. A comprehensive visual tour of the military regime by the Pinochet military government during the years of 1973-1990. A systematic look at how quickly human rights can be trampled and how power corrupts along with the ways money enriches those in power and depletes a country of its resources. A cautionary tale for all to draw parallels. Let the wall of the many faces of the disappeared, the lost and the murdered be the lasting legacy for their families.

There are mainly two distinct parts - on the upper floor is an overall display of the indigenous tribes across Americas showing mainly artifacts with somewhat insufficient descriptions. On the lower floor is though a very well presentation of the tribes from Chile.

The Cathedral is beautiful inside out. Neoclassical colonial facade, opulent baroque inside. Important landmark of Santiago.

Parque Arauco is an amazing shopping center with many stores and Restaurants. The shopping center is indoor and outdoor with different levels and it is a joy to spend time here. I came here every day after Santiago sightseeing. I tried some of the Restaurants and there were many to choose from.
