- Gary M7 contributionsIt was amazing how close you could get to the elephant seals and penguins.
We were asked to stay at least 2 meters from the penguins but no one told that to the penguins and they would come closer as they traveled from the nesting area to the ocean. The road to the nesting area was a long and bumpy dirt road but it was worth it as there was only our 2 vehicles there. Knowledgeable and got us to where we needed to go for penguins and points regarding the invasion and the local area and town. Museum is really a must see. The beer with lunch (Iron Lady from Falkland Beerworks) was a nice touch. Had friends on another tour and they were jealous when they heard what we did and saw. Highly recommend. - Z8013LNjasons5 contributionsWe booked a tour with Falklands Outdoors because our cruise excursion was fully booked. It was amazing!!! During our trip a local told us that we were very lucky because Daniel is the best guide on the island and we completely agree! Our cruise excursion was mostly driving just to get to one beach. We went to multiple beaches in the area, saw magellanic penguins, gentoo penguins, and king penguins.
