Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- rgreen79Alliston, Canada466 contributionsA cute little shop to visit while in Stanley for many handmade souvenirs and artwork. The owner is an artist and even the magnets feature the shop’s own photos.Written 24 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rambling_GiantGlasgow, UK861 contributionsOnly managed a brief visit here but I will most certainly be back! I personally found the gifts to be very unique, with a selection that promoted local businesses and their crafts.
The opening times are a little bit awkward with Sunday being our preferred day to visit - unfortunately the shop is closed. That aside, a few of us were impressed and are already planning a development day that ties in with a longer visit!
I’ve already invested in an oven glove but plan to purchase a few more gifts before I travel home.Written 12 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The shop itself was full of souvenirs and seems to be open regularly.
The staff were polite and accommodating throughout. Although there was a wide variation on offer, the gifts were very expensive but because of the lack of competition, you do get sucked in to making a few purchases.
I have no dramas with the quality of the stock, but we did take a stroll towards the distillery and found another gift shop later in the day. It was also expensive but the souvenirs were more appealing - handcrafted from locals and certainly more unique.
Overall, I’d probably revisit again to purchase any last minute gifts. I’d more than likely pop in after going to the other premises though.Written 22 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
