Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It will take about 90 minutes in a 4x4 with approximately half that time being over bouncy off-road terrain so be prepared for that BUT YOU WILL BE WELL REWARDED. Hundreds of penguins. 3 species (King, Gento, Magellanic), adults and chicks, on land, on the beach, in the surf, walking around, resting. Allow 5 hours with 1.5 hours out, 2 hours with the penguins, 1.5 hours back. Please respect the guidance given by the tour operators and wardens. Be prepared to take lotsa photos of this most memorable experience 👍🐧👍🐧👍🐧

First Nigel our guide was great. Knowledgeable and got us to where we needed to go for penguins and points regarding the invasion and the local area and town. Museum is really a must see. The beer with lunch (Iron Lady from Falkland Beerworks) was a nice touch. Had friends on another tour and they were jealous when they heard what we did and saw. Highly recommend. Oh yes if anyone is or was in scout take a couple of patches for tour owners sons.

We booked a tour with Falklands Outdoors because our cruise excursion was fully booked. It was amazing!!! During our trip a local told us that we were very lucky because Daniel is the best guide on the island and we completely agree! Our cruise excursion was mostly driving just to get to one beach. We went to multiple beaches in the area, saw magellanic penguins, gentoo penguins, and king penguins. We are certain that the Falklands Outdoors was much better than the cruise excursion would have been.

It was amazing how close you could get to the elephant seals and penguins.
We were asked to stay at least 2 meters from the penguins but no one told that to the penguins and they would come closer as they traveled from the nesting area to the ocean. The road to the nesting area was a long and bumpy dirt road but it was worth it as there was only our 2 vehicles there. Our driver would answer any questions but it would have been more appreciated if he has volunteered some of the information instead of waiting for us to ask questions.

We visited the Falkland Islands on a Quark Antarctica Adventure. We actually spent two days in the Islands, but slept each night on our ship. We were transported to the islands by Zodiac. We really hit it lucky because Princess Anne was visiting Stanley on Veteran's Day to lay a wreath at the War Memorial. The whole town was there, and there was still front row room to see the princess and the ceremony. We also went to Gypsy Cove where I saw several beautiful birds, but NO penguins. Others saw penguins; I guess I just didn't go far enough. The beach at Gypsy Cove is stunning ... a beautiful shade of aquamarine and pure white sand. We had gorgeous weather; one day it was in the high 60s. I loved the little town of Stanley; it was just delightful. We had lunch in a cute little cafe and did lots of souvenir shopping as it was our last port in civilization!

1.5 hours over rough roads to get there, no naturalists, no one protecting the penguins from tourists acting like idiots and chasing the penguins :(
