Küçük Ayasofya cami is one of the most beautiful mosques in Istanbul, this mosque is located in the very beautiful area and near the blue mosque ( Sultanahmet) and Hagia Sophia museum.
With far fewer visitors, it is very likely that you can have private time inside for prayer, meditation, and/or quiet contemplation.

The earliest and largest mausoleum, containing Şehzade Mehmed, is octagonal in shape, with a fluted dome, polychrome stonework and a triple-arched portico.
Outside there are the courtyard with the ablution fountain, the türbeler of Şehzade Mehmet and others, the buildings of the külliye, and a vast park with beautiful trees.

The Mosques court yard – which is built in a rare semi-circle layout is a peaceful sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of the Grand Bazaar.

Yes, The Blue Mosque and other well known ones are a must to visit but there are so many more less well known like this one just as spectacular and beautiful for us to discover and treasure.
I highly recommend seeing this beautiful mosque, especially before this becomes an open secret like Rustem Pasa Mosque.

When you are there, you can cross over to Galata Bridge or stay on this side and explore the Egyptian Bazar, Bankalar Caddesi, Mahmut Paşa, or Rüstem Paşa Camii.
From afar, there seem to be an incredible number of small domes surrounding the main dome.

It's an important part of Istanbul's history with marvelous iconostasis and two rare mosaic icons from 11th century, Panagia Pammakaristos and St. John the Baptist.
The most precious objects, saved from the fires, are the patriarchal throne, which is believed to date from the 5th century, some rare mosaic icons and relics of Saints Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom.

This mosque was built by the Armenian architects Hagop and sarkis Balyan, and combines elements of Turkish, Moorish, Baroque, neo-Gothic, Empire and neo-Renaissance styles.
This smaller sized mosque (compared to the major ones in Istanbul) is a display of more sophisticated architecture, especially the exterior walls, with incredible love for details.
