From Belize City about an hour ride to ruins. Pickups may run late (30-44 minutes) so don’t panic…but host responded to call and inquiry.

Had a group of 8 in the van. Rained so jacket or poncho handy. Sell at gift shops when arrive to Lamanai after boat ride.

Saw 2 crocodiles, termite nests, herons, many different birds, but could only hear howler monkeys in the distance.

Lunch was delicious. Chicken, rice & beans, chips and salsa all fresh and homemade. Drinks provided but take water.

Tour guide knowledgeable of history and native to the area.

    Great experience.

Great tour with Stacey and crew. Only reason why not 5 stars is company did not communicate that we needed to walk out to the pier which was just across the street from our hotel. They indicated we would be picked up. Only way we made tour is one of the taxi drivers in front of hotel told us. I sent company a couple of messages and no response. Horrible communication !!!

We had an excellent trip with Albert. He was very knowledgeable about the ruins and also shared a lot of information about Belize. We really appreciated his willingness to answer all of our questions. Easy to find off the cruise boat!

We had an amazing family adventure and learned so much about Belize from our awesome guide, Norman! From meeting us at the boat dock and throughout the whole day, we felt very taken-care of. The cave tubing was truly a unique experience.

We wanted to send our thanks for a wonderful experience touring Xunantunich and going to the serene Inland Blue Hole! We had a very knowledgeable tour guide around the ruins and greatly enjoyed the drive with Charles. Charles was especially informative, kind, and open to letting us make additional stops along the drive to see specific locations that greatly enhanced our experience and allowed us to learn more about Belize and its history and culture. We truly had a memorable trip, and much of that was thanks to Charles. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to truly experience the beauty and richness Belize has to offer.

Due to weather our tour started about 2 hours late, which made my group very anxious about the duration of the tour and getting back to the ship in time. Therefore, we were skeptical as the tour started. However, our guide Aaron turned our experience around. He was very knowledgeable on his country and very engaging. I loved that he gave us food from a local authentic business and fed hungry children along the way. The tour was very enjoyable, accessible for everyone, and informative. The soursop ice cream we had and view of the city was a unique experience .I would recommend the tour to everyone who wants to immerse themselves in authentic Belize culture.

A few days ago we were in Belize City, returning from an excursion at the Lamanai temple ruins. We had just missed a ferry to Caye Caulker, leaving us with approximately an hour and 30 minutes to spare. We received strong encouragement to embark on a city tour, which we successfully completed in approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. They assured us that a trained guide, well-versed in the history of both the city and the country, would accompany us on the tour. We were told that Richard Lord, our guide, was the best guide available. We agreed, and off we went.
We began by gathering information about the murals located around the corner from the water taxi port. We stopped for pictures at the Belize sign. We received the history lesson on the lighthouse. We proceeded towards the hotel district and beyond. We learned about the school and church connections on the island. We learned about the five stop lights in town and were able to experience four of them. Our limited time prevented us from visiting the bar. We got out of the car and walked a couple of the sites because we had the time, particularly the oldest Anglican church in Central America. We learned quite a bit on our brief tour and saw examples of how people live at every social and economic station in life in the city. We were blessed to do our tour this past Sunday, November 3rd, 2024. Taking our tour on a Sunday allowed us to go along at a reasonable pace and not feel rushed. How do we do the tour during rush hour or another busy time for the city? This also meant that certain businesses and places were closed, but I don't know that that negatively impacted our tour. We highly recommend the tour for anyone that wants to see the multifaceted nature of Belize City.

What a trip! Never done, or seen anything like it. Cameras aren't allowed, so no pics. Well organised, extremely informative, but physically quite demanding (OK for a couple of fit 60 somethings). Our guide Alex and driver Karim were so knowledgeable.

Elvin was hands down the best tour guide I have ever had, and the tour was beyond memorable. Elvin shared incredible knowledge about Mayan culture, biology and ecology, botany, medicine, archaeology, local culture, and so much more! I was so impressed by his versatility. But this was not even the best part; Elvin was clearly so passionate about his work which made the rest of us even more excited for all of the cool stuff. He took an extra 2-3 hours out of his day to extend our tour (with everyone’s permission) so that we could see things that most tourists do not get a chance to experience. He was friendly, accommodating, and took great care of us, always asking if anyone needed anything. We got to see monkeys, fighting iguanas, and other crazy things. I cannot recommend this tour and Melvin enough!

The rain didn't slow us down during our tour! Elio was a great tour guide and gave us lots of interesting information while touring Xunantunich. Then as we got into the caves we were blown away. We left the tubes behind and explored some amazing areas deep within the caves. Definitely something the whole family will remember for a long time!

So. I had signed up for howler monkey tour. But it was canceled. They offered a Mayan ruins tour instead. Which was great. Mark is a most excellent guide

Jose was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing Altun Ha and the surrounding area. Our lunch at the Roadhouse Diner although simple, was delicious. In car beverages were a treat.
