Masonic Temple Philadelphia
A one of a kind gem of design and architecture in the heart of center city.
This is a "hidden" gem, hidden in plain sight, that is: Located directly across the street from City Hall, in the very center of town!
Here again Susan helped point things out on maps and made recommendations for lunch as well as pointed us to the best cinnamon rolls any of us had ever eaten at Mr. Stickey's right on the grounds of the center.
Small art center, souvenir shop, and an information center staffed by two helpful and informative individuals.
We've been to Elk Country Visitor Center in Spring, Summer and Fall and have always seen lots of Elk at all times of day, both at the Visitor Center and all around coming and going home!
The visitors center has nice informative displays regarding the elk and other wildlife in the area, most of which are hands-on, great for kids and adults alike.
The Mennonite Information Center offers extensive information on the history of the Amish and Mennonite communities in Lancaster County.
The Center is a wealth of information and they offer two excellent movies which spend time reviewing the life and beliefs of the Amish and The Mennonites.
Make sure to stop by the Visitor Center to get your free Independence Hall tickets, buy your Constitution Center tickets, grab a snack, but some souvenirs, or compare and buy sightseeings tours, etc.
The visitors center is located very close to well known sites in Philadelphia- easy walk to Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House and Philadelphia Mint.
