Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful sunny day and where better to walk to and explore. Always end up doing a different route and we spent a couple of hours exploring. Plenty of runners again, a guy with a guitar at Strawberry Fields (unfortunately, need some quiet contemplation here) and we sat in the sunshine with three Terrapins on the rock next us, overlooking the lake.

    Happy days.

The High Line is must to do in NYC. We joined it on the North-end just off W 30th at the famous pink tree. This experience exceeded our expectations even though the gardens are still recovering from the brutal NYC winter. The walkway is safe and clean. The surrounding commercial and residential apartments are surreal and a real treat for art and architecture lovers. We walked the entire High Line south which took less than 40 minutes with lots of stops for photo opps. There are very exit points along the way. We visited the Chelsea market (also recommended) and took the High Line back to and exited at the Bloomberg building.

Great park with a beautiful public restroom that has flowers and music!! There may be a line to get in, but it’s worthy going if you are in that area!!

Amazing in winter! Ice formations under and around the falls were really cool (and there were no crows) Even the teenager was impressed.

The Gorge Trail was closed for season, but the North and South trails remained open. We had the wildest winter experience as the snow fell and the winds almost carried us off. It was awesome. The bridges, the overlooks, the gorge and the waterfalls. Nobody was there, and we had an amazing time. We highly recommend Watkins Glen in December.

Knowing fully well Maid of the Mist etc will be closed for the season, my family and I still planned a visit here in December, because the state park itself is open year round. It wasn’t too busy, and we found plenty of parking - $10 per vehicle, and valid for the entire day, even if you move from parking lot to parking lot.
The gift shop was a tad bit of a let down, but we enjoyed the falls from Prospect Point. The evening illumination and 8 pm fireworks were worth the repeat visit in the evening.

Beautiful falls in Letchworth state park. Park is free in winter. Great views, hikes, picnic areas and photo- ops. Close to Buffalo, NY.

Very sombre garden of remembrance for the 9/11 plane crashes. All the victims names are engraved on a square parapet round a sunken pool.

I had a lot fun here! The scenery is gorgeous, a vibrant community center, a great pier, and lovely nature. What a beautiful park offering incredible views of Brooklyn Bridge and the New York Skyline. Highly recommend!

We came to this park during the winter when some of the better trails were closed. We originally entered teh east gate of the park only to leave and drive in the west, upper park entrance, which had a better trail access to see luciver falls. After that detour and a drive past hte closed ticket booths (the park is free in the winter) - we parked the car adn headed past hte old mill and up the trail. After a relatively short hike, we got to some spectacular overlooks of the Lucifer Falls. The park was pretty quiet and it'd be great to come back curing the season when the gorge trail is open.

I went at completely the wrong time of year so actually there was nothing to see except dead brown plants, but it would be unfair to mark it down because of that. There are glasshouses with ferns and bonsais but be aware that these close earlier than the garden itself so I didn't even get to see them either. They looked very nice when I pressed my nose against the glass... It is worth saying that the $18 entry is only a "suggested amount" but this wasn't entirely clear to me in advance so I paid $18 for a cold walk around a large dead garden. Perhaps the suggested amount should be less in winter - anyway, if you visit in winter definitely do not pay $18, but in summer that would be well worth it I'm sure!

Easy to walk trail to the falls, well worth it to see the falls up close. The views were beautiful along the trail and the trail itself was well maintained.

I went to this zoo with my extended family and so had to rent a wheelchair. This zoo has a LOT of hills, so be prepared for this. Overall, not much to say other than it was a very nice, clean zoo with lots of animals. Everyone had a good time.
