Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had the most incredible experience with EcoZip adventures. The guides were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and fun! The forest walk afterwards was a highlight for me, and the guides provided lots of information about the ancient brush! Unbelievably stunning views on the zip line and during the short hike afterwards!

I also chose their Zip, Wine and Dine combo and would thoroughly recommend. It made for a phenomenal day that I’ll never forget. The entire process was fantastic: easy booking, great communication and a wonderful experience!

Worth mentioning that I was a solo female traveller, and I felt completely comfortable and welcome!

    Thank you Eco Zip!

We had the most amazing day sailing in the gulf! Gabrielle and Bruce were terrific hosts. They were so knowledgeable about the flora, fauna and history of the gulf. They are passionate about conservation and have insight into all the conservation efforts in the area. Their love for their home environment is contagious. We loved the bush walk and learned so much. We saw many native birds and learned about the forest regeneration efforts. We sailed, snorkeled, paddle boarded and hiked. The lunch was delicious! I would highly recommend this tour! Booking and communication were easy and the day was unforgettable!

The bush and beach walk was an absolute blast! Our guide, Cindy, was the best. She was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and shared a wealth of information during our walk. Keeping the kids in our group engaged was a huge achievement, considering their ages.

The picnic sandwiches were delicious, and the transportation was very comfortable. Waiheki is such a beautiful island. We’ll definitely be back and staying there next time to fully immerse ourselves in its natural beauty.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience for our entire group. We highly recommend it!

The walk was hosted by Cindy who was very welcoming on arrival at the ferry terminal. Her local knowledge was very useful for choosing the best paths for the group ability and weather conditions on the day. There was plenty of interesting information on the history and geography of the islands together with a wealth of knowledge of the native plants and the efforts made to regenerate the island‘s forests.

I spent 10 days in NZ and Waiheke was on the best most beautiful places I went. Ask for Lucy to be your guide. She lives on the island and was fantastic

We really enjoyed our tour. We were able to do a short nature hike, then check out art on the island. We had a picnic lunch in the most beautiful garden filled with sculptures. We’re the only people here with our guide. Our guide Del was wonderful and informative.
She later took us to a beautiful winery for a tasting. Definitely recommend doing a private tour with them.

My wife and I had the BEST day out on the water with Bruce this February. We booked rather last minute, but Bruce and Gabrielle were incredibly accommodating and provided the absolute best experience. The boat is beautiful and very comfortable, Bruce was a great guide not only as boat captain of the catamaran, but also of the dinghy – make sure to ask him to take you into the cave at Otata Island (I think that was the one). The prepared lunch was also delicious and fresh, we were really impressed. All around 10/10, beyond worth it – it was our honeymoon and filled with great days, but this was and remains our favorite day of the trip!

The ladies were very knowledgeable. I felt they took us to places such as an Art Gallery and vineyard where others could not take us. They listened to us in designing the tour and cared that we enjoyed the experience. We have no reservations in recommending them for the design of a personalized tour.

Del and her team were amazing. We didn’t know what to expect but were blown away by her knowledge of the island, the plant, and wildlife. She was great and made it an amazing day. Would 100% recommend.

We thoroughly loved our hike on Waiheke Island. Our Maori guide had incredible insights to the area and Kiwi history as a whole. The scenes were stunning, the winery visited was great and we loved hiking across the island to build up an appetite.

Maria was amazing and really made the tour special. She was incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife on the island (especially birds) plant life, and Māori history. My partner and I had an incredible time and she recommended some other activities for us to check out later on in the trip. Could not be more pleased with the experience nor more happy to have met her.

A break from the hustle and bustle of Auckland City was exactly what our team needed and Gabrielle's guided walk provided exactly that. Her knowledge about flora and fauna and Waiheke's history was extensive and her passion for the environment was clearly evident. We were lucky enough to have stunning weather which made the walk along the coast and through the bush extra special. The walk was a great length and we finished up in Oneroa for an incredible lunch at Fenice - a truly fantastic day. I would highly recommend it!
