My first visit to NZ from Australia and booked a walking (tramping in NZ) with Terra Tide on Waiheke Island, which is about a 30 minute ferry ride from Auckland. I walked with Justine a very informative local guide who knew all the tracks and was happy to explain Maori culture to me. Also, was able to name and show me the many birds we saw as well as trees and shrubs as well as their medicinal use. Lots of uphill tracks , I wasn't fast and Justine had lots of patience waiting for me and encouraging me along.
Nice lunch provided and delivered on time back to the Ferry for my trip back to Auckland. Would highly recommend the walk and would love to go back and do it again when next in NZ.

Great day out on Waiheke! We started with a bush walk and then went to two wineries (Mudbrick and Castle Bay vineyards). Well organised, a delicious lunch at a Oneroa cafe, and a fantastic, knowledgeable guide (Justine). Very glad I booked and had a great day with Justine. Would definitely recommend to solo travellers who want to explore both Waiheke's outdoors and visit wineries.

Our guide Tracey was fabulous! Not only did she take us to see some amazing artists and their work, but she added in an extra Artist as we'd expressed an interest in their work.

As one of the first things I decided to do after the lockdown, Waiheke was on top of the list. After searching a bit I found Walking by Nature and I decided to book this walking tour. The whole process was pretty straightforward!

I had the pleasure to have Gabrielle as my tour guide. She took the time to explain to me things that otherwise I wouldn´t have the chance to know - I think that makes the difference because it gives you a different perspective.

It was an amazing experience, the landscape is just astonishing! I highly recommend them!

We thoroughly loved our hike on Waiheke Island. Our Maori guide had incredible insights to the area and Kiwi history as a whole. The scenes were stunning, the winery visited was great and we loved hiking across the island to build up an appetite.

Shinrin-Yoku experience with Gabrielle was absolutely amazing... what a magical and beautiful experience. I thoroughly recommend this, especially if you are feeling a bit stressed and just need to get some perspective and remember who you are. 10/10

Thank you Terra and Tide! My friends and I had a wonderful 4 day 3 night bespoke walking tour with Terra and Tide and can fully recommend their services. They where very organised, on time, and nothing was too hard for them to do for us, even with last minute changes. Gabrielle and Tracey where fabulous guides on our walks with wonderful knowledge of Waiheke Island and Maori culture and language. A fantastic tour group.
