My grandson and I booked the 5 day Gourmet walk with Wilderness Guides for the Queen Charlotte track. Everything about this Company is exceptional. The organisation in the office to make sure everything fits together is so professional and friendly. We had a fantastic guide (Sean) who had a great personality and was so knowledgeable on the flora and fauna of the area.

The walk is quite strenuous, especially the third day, but is definitely worth the effort, it is stunning, such beautiful scenery, and a different view around every bend, and you know at the end of every day you have a great place to stay with excellent food and wine to look forward to.

A wonderful experience, and sense of achievement.

Beautiful views and scenery by water, hiking or by car. Plenty of walks down to uncrowded beaches. water an amazing colour in the sun. Amazing area, just get out and wander, grab a kayak or drive some slow roads - eg Picton to Havelock.

This is a truly great hike with spectacular views and a well-maintained path. The distances can be adjusted by arrangement with a water taxi to suit ability

From some of the previous reviews I was a little reluctant to do this museum. What a great deal for only $10nzd! Great video about the history of the ship and very nice display of artifacts.

What a beautiful little town, the gateway to the South Island. I’ve never seen so many motorhomes queuing for the ferry!
We walked up path which overlooks the town and harbour, a stunning view on a lovely day. The town itself is very quaint with a lovely harbour side looking out to mountains beyond.
A great place to wonder and explore especially if the sun is out.

Booked direct in the Office on Picton Marina Oct 2023. (Worth noting they were actually shut when we arrived but the lady was sitting outside waiting for her husband to pick her up and actually reopened to take our booking for early the next day. Superb service)
You basically board the boat and have a nice ride out to the Lodge. Our day was overcast and damp so we didn't really get to appreciate the Sounds as we would have wished but it's nice all the same. The Captain was great, good info and always willing to have a chat.
You then get off at the lodge and it's all very nice and clean. There is a restaurant there but due to timings, we didn't try it. There are various walks around with various wildlife etc.
You can then board the underwater observatory (at extra cost but worth it). I'm sorry that I didn't get the girls name that shows you around but she was excellent. So passionate about her sea life world and very knowledgeable. She allows you to handle various marine life she has there, Starfish, Sea Cucumbers, Sea Snails etc. You then go downstairs, essentially underwater where you can view schools of fish and various other sea creatures. Again, she tells you all about them as though they are her pets and will answer any questions you have. It is so nice to see young people so passionate about their work and conservation etc. She made the day all the more special.
You then re board the boat back to Picton Marina.
Overall, a really nice day out.

On a beautiful day, we paddled through the Queen Charlotte Sound from Lochmara Lodge. Our guides Helen & Kayla shepherded our group with skill & patience. Helen shared much about the area’s history & Māori tales. As we were about done, Kayla talked to us about Project Nest Egg that’s all about protecting kiwi on one of the points.
    A great experience!

The staff at Beachcomber went out of their way to help us plan our "adventures" in Picton and surrounds. Nothing was ever too much trouble and they were always prompt with their responses and gave us options of what to do and see. They even assisted us to book a shuttle to Omaka when no other companies would reply to our enquires. Would highly recommend them for any tour needs.

An absolutely magic day fishing down the Queen Charlotte Sound with skipper Mark, who was super friendly, helpful and has a great sense of humour 😉 Thanks so much for getting us out on a wintry day to give our lads a true Marlborough Sounds fishing experience, complete with us being lucky enough to bring home blue cod for dinner!

A massive thank you to Marlborough Sounds Adventure Company- you're amazing. Dropped in with a flat tyre on my stroller and you saved the day with helping to fix it. Thank you so much - you guys are awesome :-)

Penny and the crew offered such a wonderful experience; informed, personalised commentary, amazing green-shelled mussels - the freshest you can get, paired with beautiful Sauvignon Blanc. A must do for anyone enjoying the wonders of the South Island; one of our best kept secrets!

The team at New Zealand Walks helped put together a fantastic experience. Communication was great and questions/responses were quickly answered. Accommodation offerings were suitable for night before, and everything went exactly as planned. Even quick to sort out my lack of transportation from Blenheim airport to Picton, completely my fault - when I failed to request the service offered.

We picked a lovely fine Spring day for our three hour sail around the Sound. Nice stable catamaran, good bar on board, useful commentary on local sights. You are provided with a nice feast of green shelled mussels, bread and dukkah, and fresh cooked delicious salmon. It really is a lovely cruise and worth the price. Recommended.

We booked the 5-day all-inclusive package with Greg. We were so impressed with how seamlessly he planned all of the details. We really loved all of the lodges and the ease of having everything pre-paid. We had a big glitch when I developed shingles while at one of the lodges. We called him on a Sunday and he advised us as to how to get medical care. This involved him interrupting his own fishing trip to pick us up at the dock and take us to our car and direct us to the nearest medical facility; and then meeting us again on our return to the dock to take the large luggage off our hands. What could have been a major stress turned out to actually go pretty smoothly. I would 100% recommend Natural Encounters.
