Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From some of the previous reviews I was a little reluctant to do this museum. What a great deal for only $10nzd! Great video about the history of the ship and very nice display of artifacts.

This museum has much of interest including a comprehensive display of the whaling history in the area. We were in picton for captain cook's 250th centenary celebrations but the museum failed to mention this auspicious occasion or have a special display for it. There was no children's area but my granddaughter enjoyed the pioneer life area without getting bored.

Would a lovely shop! lots of interesting jewellery and a very nice helpful assistant. Came to walk the queen charlotte and went home with new earings ..... As the name says, it is a gem of a place and not like all your other touristy , repetitive shops. good work.

Very confusing to some travelers, shuttles take people and goods to their destinations, not taxis. No uber or lift, shuttles fill all these roles, but they are good.

An absolutely magic day fishing down the Queen Charlotte Sound with skipper Mark, who was super friendly, helpful and has a great sense of humour 😉 Thanks so much for getting us out on a wintry day to give our lads a true Marlborough Sounds fishing experience, complete with us being lucky enough to bring home blue cod for dinner!
