Ljubljana is beautiful and Lake Bled is amazing . Ivan is very knowledgeable and organised the day perfectly. Ljubljana in a fun way. Our group was very social and the food and drinks were great. Only thing I would change is skipping the fried chicken as this dish is not what I would consider “traditional” and can be found in the US. The quality of all the food was great however and the soup and Carniolian sausage were a welcome warm treat after walking in the cold. We arrived at the first attraction Postojna Cave and were given half an hour to grab a coffee whilst he got our tickets. When we entered the cave an English speaking guide took us to a little train that whisked us further into the cave. After about 5 minutes we continued the tour on foot, with our guide explaining everything about the cave and it's formations of stunning stalagmite and stalactite pillars and huge cavernous chambers.
The second attraction was Predjama Castle just 10 minutes away. Seeing it for the first time is a definite WOW !! moment. The world's biggest castle built into the side of a cave. The tour is self-guided using either an audio guide or by downloading an app onto your phone. We were given about an hour to look around the castle and purchase souvenirs before heading back to the tour bus for the return to Ljubljana. Our driver was very informative on the outward journey but knew we were all a bit tired on the way back so let us relax peacefully.

We saw at least 5 waterfalls and springs and enjoyed small hikes to view the scenery. - geoff aSydney, Australia6 contributionsWe did this tour 9th Dec24 and it was absolutley fantastic ! It's a must do tour if your visiting Ljubljana. It was the second tour we did with Slovenia Explorer while in Ljublijana and we highly recommend booking. Our tour guide Thomas was great. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about Slovenia and Slovenian / European history. We enjoyed his company and shared a few laughs during the tour. He ensured we were dropped off and picked up on time at the tour locations and we never felt liked we were rushed. He also stopped at a couple of spots which were not on the schedule which we greatly appreciated.
Thank you Thomas and Slovenia Explorer for an experience we will never forget. - Andrew F3 contributionsI visited in the last week of October and the weather was wonderful. Our trip consisted of just 4 visitors as it was off peak season and our guide was a wonderful young lady by the name of Taisha (Tai). She was very prompt at the pickup location in a clearly marked tour van. At every location she explained the activity and provided clear timing and meeting locations, altogether a seamless adventure. It was perfect and I would recommend for people who want to see 3.key places in one day. Please note that these places are not always near one another so to allow for all three locations you cannot expect a lot of free time. Think of this as a sampler of the main attractions and if you want to fully explore a single location, you may have to consider going to only one location in the future for a full day. The tour does its best to allow for enough time to see these places if you are quick!
