What travellers are saying
- annminkyUnited States1,602 contributionsIt was a cold, freezing day when we started exploring this city. I live all the beautiful buildings, cute little shops and tons of restaurants. At night, the beautiful lights of Christmas was still on. Lots of people enjoying their day.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- annminkyUnited States1,602 contributionsWhenever I remember the gnomes of this beautiful city, I smile. My family and drove to this city last January. Oh my goodness! It was so cold. But seeing all this cute gnomes made us happy. We were told there are 288 gnomes or dwarves around. We searched and took tons of pictures. If you visit this place, beware of the gnomes who will captivate your heart and make you smile 😊.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matt GBurton upon Trent, UK552 contributionsMyself and two early teen kids came here on a cloudy February day… we had looked forward to our visit but the first hour was a little disappointing. We never bought a Zoo map and the route we took mainly had winter repairs, closures and refurbishing going on . We had a drink and a toilet stop and started again.
We saw lions , tigers, bears and Rhinos. Really enjoyed watching these and the enclosures were decent. Then we headed to the Afrykarium , which was huge. We all went on the VR chairs and chose the Gorilla option. Very good. We saw the hippos and the aquarium was amazing. Sharks , Manatees , really good and we could have had another hour or two here. Highly recommended…Written 25 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was a great insight into the struggle and hope of the Polish people through generation after generation.
The artwork itself is really impressive; the nearest you could get to an immersive experience in the lat 1800s. It's story is pretty incredible. There are audio guides in a range of languages (included in the price).
It is relatively short and relatively expensive for here, but you're really getting an insight into the experience of being Polish. I'd really recommend itWritten 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Its main feature of course is the cathedral, under repair when I was there, but I got to see a lot of it.
It has a few other churches worth visiting too, and some religious institutions, as you might epect, and the cleanest, most elegant public toilets I've ever seen.
It's joined to the main part of Wroclaw by the bridge that had thousands of locks clicked onto the railings, so they ask us to not do that any more. I think they removed eighteen tons of locks from it.
This is a must if you go to Wroclaw, beware roaming gangs of coach tourists - they might take a photo of you.. do go , it's essential viewing if in Wroclaw, and easy walk from the Rynek.Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was one of my favorite cities. The city center is beautiful and looks like a fairytale. Finding the little gnomes was super cute.Written 11 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marius POslo, Norway1,853 contributionsTown hall in the old Square. Built in Gothic style and with bricks. Beautiful building with a unique character among other old buildings.Written 11 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anna GKatowice, Poland25 contributionsGreat fun for adults and children. Lots of hidden collectibles, like Baby Yoda in the castle ruins. You can also look for things that are on the card you will receive at the entrance. If you are Polish, you will have even more fun. The mock-ups have many references to contemporary culture, such as Mr. Szymczyk with a grenade launcher.
All the mockups are incredibly detailed, which is amazing. Even great care was taken to ensure that the cars were exact replicas, each building was not accidental and everything had its own track, avoiding collisions. The temporary exhibition is also impressive. The gingerbread city must have required a lot of work.Written 22 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I appreciate that most of the building was re built however it still has an old world feel to it and rivals many cathedrals in the uk.
We got the lift to the top for fantastic views over the city, it was 35 zloty for both of us and well worth it.Written 31 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Visited during the day and it was worth the trip… I suspect the evening light show would be amazing.Written 10 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - petergab10Melbourne, Australia600 contributionsThe Monument of Anonymous Passerby consists of 14 bronze life-sized human figures. They stand on both sides of the of Swidnicka Street where it crosses Pilsudskiego Street. The detail in each figure is impressive as is the artist story he has portrayed in his work. A memorial to the citizens who were killed or went missing during period of martial law in Poland in 1980s.
Was impressed by the size and detail what has gone into the monument which offers so many photo opportunities which is stunning to see in person. As it has also become a well known piece of artwork. Definitely worth a visit while you are in Wroclaw.Written 2 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a monument to various historical scientific figures and you are just wowed by the sumptious decoration. The mathematical tower is well worth a trip. It is not the highest viewpoint by a long way but the views are superb.Written 23 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
