Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Top City Tour GdanskGdansk, Poland2 contributionsJust amazingly beautiful! If you are in Gdansk you will be amazed by its beauty, specially in this area. Culture, pasion, history... And an important tip, dont miss your tour with the golf carts, very close to Neptune Fountain😉Written 12 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LadyElizabeth10 contributionsAs the title says this is probably the best museum I’ve visited due to how the exhibit was laid out. The use of video and technology really added to the experience and at one point I got goose bumps due to how emotive it was. Incredibly educational on an important moment in history. If you’re in Gdańsk make sure you visitWritten 31 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Adam JonesBeijing, China58 contributionsDluga Street is the Main Street of the old town in Gdańsk. There are several churches, restaurants, shopping and cafes along the road. Also on this street is Neptunes Fountain. It is the must go to street while you are in GdańskWritten 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - catch222birmingham487 contributionsIt's a nice street which has one bar I like to visit when in Gdansk.
One of the only, if not the only building that wasn't flattened on this street during the war.
Even though there are cafes and a few bars, at night they were all closed. Perhaps a winter thing.Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Unfortunately, photos are not allowed inside the church, and I do respect that. Inside, you'll find good paintings and sculptures. Some floors of the church contain gravestone slabs. I recommend seeing this church when you are in Gdansk.Written 16 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hannu hFiskars, Finland124 contributionsA peaceful oasis. Trees, gardens, plants, huge green house for palm trees. A 20 min walk from Oliwa train station. Art museum.Written 16 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ivan KinsmamKielce, Poland824 contributionsThis is a cathedral not to be missed. It is one of the most beatiful I have seen (and I have seen many) - the longest Carmelite church in the world - and it has a spectaular organ with regular daily organ recitals, and 1 hour concerts in July and August (we are returning to hear one at 8pm in the evening).
The church has a delightful interior with several marble altars, a catacomb of bishops and a side chapel of the Virgin Mary (no photos allowed). Definitely try to include it in your itinerary as well as 1.5 hours for Oliwski Park (the former Abbot's palace gardens).Written 8 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is also a major site in central Gdańsk - most souvenir shops sell mini replicas of Neptune.Written 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Adam JonesBeijing, China58 contributionsDefinitely worth checking out as an alternative to Dluga Street for restaurants and shops. The river views are also decent with a nice backdrop of colorful houses.Written 25 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steven DConingsby, UK604 contributionsAfter looking at the city views from the viewing point we enjoyed some cocktails. The baileys espresso martini was one of the best cocktails I tried in Gdansk.Written 18 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BigMerkGlasgow, UK2,303 contributionsThis was our meeting point on our walking tour. It was very impressive and historic as an entry to the city built at the end of a bridge. - sunnybrae2016Aberdeen, UK39 contributionsFirst task is to find the entrance - it's not at all obvious in winter with all the solid doors closed tightly against the cold. very professionally laid out museum. However the lighting is very low and a lot of the display information is hard to read - a phone torch came in very handy. Wonderful building - the exhibits relating to the history of the building were very interesting.
