Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Gene R JSilver Spring, MD10,502 contributionsWe stopped here on our 300 km drive from North Lakes to Hervey Bay.
After visiting the twin lighthouses at Caloundra, we drove 15 km north to the free parking lot at Point Cartwright, lucky to snag a spot. We took a selfie at the long view of Wurtulla Beach before joining several dog walkers for 300m to the huge blue water tank covered with sea life murals, and just behind, the tall lighthouse built in 1979. At this commanding spot, we looked over the bay toward Sunshine Coast, spotting several surfers and small sailboats while another couple was watching a frolicing whale just offshore noting we are near the end of the humpback season. What a beautiful spot of Australian nature.Written 6 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It’s well worth a visit, we visited See, RiceBoi, a Greek and Mexican. It seems there is something for everyone and it’s very clean too.Written 18 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Their communication was excellent and personal customer service, outstanding. I cannot rate them highly enough for everything that was done for us. From patience with our young family members and their safety while travelling, down to playing “Tetris” with all our luggage.
We were transferred to and from the SC airport, Australia Zoo, Brisbane and back to the Sunny coast with no dramas what so ever. All of our drivers, Lynley, Mark and Natasha were welcoming, easy going, and reassured us any of our needs would be met if requested on our journeys. They gave our holiday the reliable support and assistance required and we were impressed on their dependability.
When we travel there once more, I will not hesitate in contacting them again to use their fantastic, friendly service!Written 1 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We have done this cruise before a few years back as a dinner cruise so this time we decide on a morning 1 hr canal cruise. Was a great cruise with lovely staff and great commentary with great information. Would definitely do this cruise again the next time we are in Mooloolaba. - HannahTownsville, Australia5 contributionsMy friends and I had a great time on our sunset cruise with Saltwater Eco Tours! Gorgeous scenes as the sun set and the live music was a lovely touch! Simon and the crew were very friendly, took good care of us and were up for a yarn!

They were kind, thoughtful and caring, and made sure we were well cared for, comfortable and most importantly gave us the privacy to say a few words, scatter the ashes and lay some flowers whilst keeping the boat in place and silent. In tribute to my father Jerry steered the lovely boat in a figure of eight around the ashes to represent infinity, and blew the horn eight times in farewell. It was touching and unexpected and made the memorial that much more special. It was a fitting tribute, and one that myself, my friends and family that were on board will cherish.Written 7 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stay166203080762 contributionsI booked 3 private classes with XL to take my surfing to the next level and it was one of the best experiences with surf lessons I have had. I have srufed for the last 3 years but the improvements I I have been able to make after 3 classes with Robbie and Josh are already visible. They helped me identify issues with my paddling, angling and stance and helped me correct it. From a technical perspective I was able to grasp how to move my body along with the board and how to read the ocean better to catch more waves. I will definitely be going back for more lessons in the futureWritten 3 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We liked that it was BYO food & drinks and that you can head out from the canals if you wish.
