Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- NA- AustraliaDandenong, Australia912 contributionsWalked from the gate car park, and took the light blue trail. About 2.5 hrs and the weather for us was an autumnal fine and dry, so no slipping a sliding, but you still need good shoes/boots and watch where you put your feet. Seeing so many people with children doing this was a bit of a leveller. It is challenging. You will work up a sweat. Take some water with you.., You cannot really get lost. The redwood grove is lovely. Views from top great..Written 27 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Departure023748018761 contributionWe (a group of 4) visited and stayed 3 days at the end of February 2024. What a beautiful spot - our accommodation has top class - the restaurant was fantastic. Thanks to Vicki and her team for hosting us.Written 4 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Carolina GNgahinapouri, New Zealand10 contributionsThere were lots of people but that's because it was someone's birthday there. The slides are great but not that thrilling but still fun. Not as good as overseas parks but great for NZ.Written 20 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nicholas EMelbourne, Australia70 contributionsA wonderful winery and cellar door.
Chris was an excellent host and provided us with alot of information about the wines and the local terroir. The cheese platter was excellent. The Gimblett Syrah to top pick. Highly recommended.Written 22 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Treat yourself on a Sunday morning, good cofee, wonderful food choices for breakfast and quality produce to take home.Written 24 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MolendersNorfolk310 contributionsBe advised by the life guards and don’t take risks because surf is strong here on occasions. Good beach walk either way, plenty of parking. Lagoon for kids. If preferred.Written 20 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- onegreenbeeCashmere, WA144 contributionsWe tried a couple different beaches in the Hawke's Bay region before making it out to this one, and we wish we'd started here. Good swimming (we appreciate some waves) and gorgeous sand. There was nearly no one on the beach when we were there. We played frisbee, took a long walk, and enjoyed the not-too-big surf. A perfect beach afternoon!Written 11 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- JLMPaekakariki, New Zealand33 contributionsLoved this place such a cool spot. Very relaxed vibe. They went out of their way to do a vegan (yummy) pizza. They should put one on the menu. Had an extremely delicious mango and jalapeño brew. Sit under the hop vines. Take your dog and/or kids. Will definitely be returning.Written 28 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- foody12345376Berkshire, UK176 contributionsWe went there with my partners young grandson, When we arrived we were the only people there due to the changeable weather. We are so glad that we decided to take a chance on the weather because it stayed dry for the couple of hours we were there. It is a super place for young children as for a dollar for food they can feed the animals. He enjoyed doing this and getting close enough to the goats, chickens, ducks etc. it was a good price to spend a couple of hours. Near the end is a great little park for the children to use including a trampoline. The staff were friendly and I would definitely recommend to other people with young children.Written 10 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AvisjoyceAuckland Central, New Zealand4 contributionsMy husband who is a very definite non-wine drinker is now converted to Ash Ridge wines!
Slightly biased but we had a gorgeous couple of hours sampling the wine, baked Brie (heavenly) and pizza’s. Winston’s attention made the small child (6 years old) love the visit even more than the slide, space to run and warm welcome from everyone.
Leith is legend and we shall definitely be online ordering once back in Auckland. A must visit for anyone.Written 13 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
