Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- RebeccaAuckland, New Zealand18 contributionsAbsolutely worth visiting this car museum. Amazing cars. But the whole experience has been curated with expertise. On top of the museum experience the coffee and breakfast were also 5 star.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - evets1232016Sydney, Australia417 contributionsThere is a lot of local colonial history here, as well as some Maori history. Also some taxidermy of local birds, and a display of photos and videos of comical moments of animal life. Good for a rainy day.Written 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gemma RWellington, New Zealand350 contributionsWhat a brilliant place! We had an absaloutely wonderful time riding the jigger, old steam tractor and exploring everything on offer. So interesting for all ages, everything working and demonstrations on heritage vehicles, tools, engines. Live displays of old sawmill, fun little playground for the kids and nice wee cafe. A must do when in the area. Highly.recommend.Written 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
