Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Amazing! Lucy was just the best at sharing knowledge about the place & history as well as the flora & fuana. Lunch was so tasty. All smooth from the pick up in town until the drop off. Highly recommended.

We were looked after so well from the moment we booked to the end of the ride.
No stone left unturned. We all agreed that the cost was very reasonable considering the standard of the e-bikes.

Bernie and Chris took care of us all the way - and even arranged perfect weather which is next level. We had a great time thanks

Today Russell and I made the magnificent decision to do the Sunny Nelson Walking Tour.

It was just terrific. James was our guide and seriously he is a 10/10 guide. James has an incredibly generous and happy personality, combined with an absolutely professional attitude towards making the walking tour an excellent experience.

James bought Nelson to life for us. We had spent the previous day in the city, looking around but on reflection, we missed everything.

During our walking tour with James, we enjoyed him bringing to life early Nelson history, the art and cultural life of the city, as well as learning about all sorts of interesting facts and stories.

We seriously recommend this tour if you are spending some time in Nelson. It is well worth every cent.

Thank you James. Your Sunny (
not so sunny ☔first up) Walking Tour of Nelson was just terrific.

This was our second day out with the same tour company and Lucy was our guide. The same very high standard applied. This is a great luxury tour. Lucy, our guide was exceptional once again. She was able to impart so much information about the region, all the plants and incredible history. Lucy provided us with everything from sun lotion and hiking poles to a delicious lunch. We had some rain but the tour was easily adapted for the weather and a few things were even added in to maximise the experience for us. Lucy also gave us fantastic suggestions about other things to see and do while in Nelson. Again, nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had a great time and it was so enjoyable. Lucy really loves her job and this is very apparent. As Aucklanders we felt that we really got to know another part of New Zealand. This is an excellent way to do it. Highly recommended.

A tandem skydive was on my 'feel the fear and face it' list and my husband and I both did it. For someone who is usually risk averse it was quite an undertaking but the Skydive Abel Tasman team was professional from start to finish and my jump master Ty was calm, confident and reassuring. This allowed me to be relaxed and ready for the jump and it was awesome! We picked a great day and had fabulous views across Motueka and Nelson all the way to the ground. It was something I'll never forget and which I highly recommend. Plus I have some great photos and a video to remind me of it.

This was easily one of the best experiences we’ve had in our lives. Would give it another star if I could. We lucked out with weather. Steve was a fantastic pilot even with some wind gusts. Knowledgeable, patient with our time at landing locations, and kept it safe and enjoyable for all. The feeling you get on Mount Olympus, Mount Owen, and the HUGE National Park is surreal. As safety weight allows, they let you rotate seats so you can get a turn in front, but views are great regardless. Will never forget this experience!

It's a must, beautiful scenic vistas - and takes you right back to when you saw it in the movie! Yes, you have to go to Hobbiton too, but this shouldn't be missed.

Wonderful tour and chance to visit iconic location from The Lord of the Rings. I would recommend leaving sufficient time as the weather can be very variable which happened to us. Heavy rains prevented us from flying on our first booking, but the next morning, the fog lifted, the rain let up and the sun came out allowing us to visit My Olympus! The young pilot was very knowledgeable and handled the helicopter perfectly despite some cross winds on the way to the mountain. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful tour of the coast between Nelson & Abel Tasman, with enough ground time for a short walk on the beach & a light meal at the Awaroa Lodge. Quite a different perspective than when I last hiked the trail many years ago :-)

Pilots were professional yet friendly, offering local color commentary & patiently answering questions - would love to return on a future visit!

Our group of seven had the most wonderful, amazing experience onboard the catamaran Te Harinui recently. Skipper Martin and Chef Joe made the whole trip the best it could possibly be, providing everything we needed and wanted plus so much more. Martin's extensive knowledge, experience and insight meant that he was able to tailor the trip to suit all of us perfectly, and everything far exceeded all of our expectations. Special thanks also to the company for the part they played in making sure the trip still went ahead when we had to make last-minute changes due to Cyclone Gabrielle. A fabulous trip and a fabulous company - thank you.

This trip was so enjoyable. We had transport to Spooners Tunnel and enjoyed the different scenery through the region. A stop in Wakefield for the famous pies and then a coffee at HQ in Brightwater. We stopped by the chickens at Quail Valley Farm...they all came running (take some bread for them...they are cute). Staff were helpful and gave us good briefings of the bikes and lights for the tunnel. A great day out. I would recommend The Grape Escape for lunch...a bit off the trail (500m or so) but always amazing food, cakes and lovely setting with other shops nearby to explore.
