Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- TraceyC62Burpengary, Australia156 contributionsWe visited the village and then the ring fortress which were both very interesting especially for seeing how the vikings lived and how the king began his fortification process. The ticket gives entry into both displays and also the Hobro museum so good value.Written 9 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gregers HHolstebro, Denmark25 contributionsEasy to find and good visibility. Follow the thin white line to the submerged car.
Marine life is not too abundant but nice mussels and shrimp.Written 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's probably best for an extended stop while passing by, but also excellent for a few hours if you're in the area. Lots for the smaller kids, excellent place to take overseas visitors.Written 21 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa LalitaAalborg, Denmark71 contributionsOur walk lead us from the nearby housing area towards the small marina- unused due to it being mid-winter. The day after heavy rain, the sun was shining as we walked from here to the point (Torndalsvej on the map). There is a toilet at this point but it is locked during winter months.
Views of Mariager Fjord from the Marina and during the walk are worth the effort, regardless of the tracks being a little challenging and muddy- wear good walking/waterproof boots in wetter months, though these would be ok in summer.
There is a little climbing up over hiking ladders which are in place over the fences (4 steps max) with handholds. The terrain is a little hilly but not exhaustingly so. I live and only walk on flat, well marked trails but these were doable, if sweaty and a little challenging. However, the views make it all worthwhile. There are no resting seats along the track except perhaps one. Remember your camera as this area is picturesque. I saw people of all ages doing this walk.
Due to darkness falling, we took the route back to Hobro, via gravel/dirt roads past Hobro Golf Course, passing through summer houses and beautiful rolling hills. This area is worth a half-day or full day trip. The trails do continue further along the fjord. This walk amounted to approx.9km in all.
In summer, I imagine the marina to be more active and a nice place to hang out before or after your walk. Worth visiting if you are in the area.Written 1 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is open to the public and well worth a visit.Written 2 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
