Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An amazing day, we saw a sperm whale, a fin whale a pod of pilot whales and a couple of sea lions. A very memorable day and a great finish to our South Island adventure.

We had a great kayak trip with our guides Emma and Izzy - great views of the marine life and the coastline and lots of informative commentary. A fun afternoon…

Awesome flight from Kaikoura out over the whales. We saw a large sperm whale on the surface and then flew over several pods of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins which was pretty darn cool! Our pilot was very knowledgeable and made sure that both sides of the plane had plenty of opportunity to see the whales. Highly recommend!

The business was very well set up and run, from arrival to leaving. Organisation was slick, the guides were friendly and we were always comfortable.
We were all in two person kayaks, and there were three kayaks in our group. We got to see some great scenery, seals and the odd penguin. I particularly enjoyed turning all the kayaks in to one great bobbing raft while watching the fur seals lolling about, but my favourite part was heading just out of the shelter of the bay and feeling the rock of the swells in the little boat!
Emma our guide was a boss, never steered us wrong and kept us calm when we were uncertain of our ability, and took some great photos for us when I was too busy watching the scenery to do it myself.

I had a fantastic time. The ziplines were long and so much fun. The views were incredible. The guides Amanda and Finn were great. Highly recommended.

We adored our helicopter experience. Cal was a superb pilot — friendly, experienced and enchanting. We all communicated together through our headphones and microphones. Once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend!

Even though we were unable to go whale watching, because of bad weather our guide, Sally took very good care of us. Sally was genuine and shared interesting information. She is a good driver and made the trip enjoyable. We had coffee, shopped, ate lunch, went to a winery, and even stopped along the road to view a seal colony. Even though we couldn’t see the whales, it still was an interesting adventure. Sally made the trip worthwhile.

We made a last minute decision to take a flight over Kaikoura, booking just the night before. We were fortunate to have the plane to ourselves (we are a family of 4) Two adults and 2 children. Jo was our pilot. She gave a great introduction talk about the Kaikoura sea life before we flew, and throughout the flight gave a great commentary. We saw many dusky dolphins. Sadly the whales remained elusive but this did not detract from the experience and we all had an amazing time, the views were incredible, and Jo’s calm manner made for a very relaxing morning. Thank you to all. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!!

Incredible for even small children! Both my kids loved it and it wasn’t too long. A very good tour and explanation. The place is full of details and love! Definitely worth a visit

Swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura was one of my all time most memorable experiences. Totally amazing, words fail me but please don't miss. Really well organised, great staff, careful briefing and be sure to book early as this is rightly popular as the highlight on any visit to NZ. Best ever

We had an amazing sunny afternoon flight with Aaron. Thanks to Aaron’s flexibility we started an afternoon earlier to use the incredible weather. Spotted a Sperm Whale, a huge group of dolphins and seals sleeping on the coastal rocks. Great experience, thank you so much for this excellent whale experience :)

A big thanks to Kevin for a fantastic morning spent with his delightful llama.

My son and I enjoyed bonding with each of our llama Archie and Pegasus. My husband’s llama Harry was more interested in a state of mutual understanding rather than what you would call bonding haha!

The trek was a gentle walk to the seal colony and a nice stop on the way back to enjoy some coffee and cake.

Kevin was very knowledgeable about llama and we valued his insights.

    Highly recommend!

Great service to maximize my experience. My booking was brought forward a day to maximise the weather conditions, and it worked out perfectly! Blue skies, snow capped mountains and a very pleasant flight (no bumps). Would highly recommend...
