Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We saw Sperm Whales and a pod of 500 dolphins frolicking in the sea. Nice trip out, beautiful scenery. Captain and crew were great. Paid for the VIP but not sure it was worth the money.

We had a great session on the water with our guide Jono. After the safety briefing we got on our way. Our group was quite large - about 15 or so people of various ages fitness and experience. The guides quickly assessed everyones abilities and the group was broken into three so those of us with some experience could head off rather than have to wait.
We got up close to the seal colony and were lucky enough that a few of them in the water became curious so came over and sussed us out. We also saw a pod of dolphins a few hundred metres so tried to chase them down in the open sea - good fun but we couldn't get close!!
Jono was a great guide, knew his stuff and was happy to have a yarn as we paddled along.
    Highly recommend.

Even though we were unable to go whale watching, because of bad weather our guide, Sally took very good care of us. Sally was genuine and shared interesting information. She is a good driver and made the trip enjoyable. We had coffee, shopped, ate lunch, went to a winery, and even stopped along the road to view a seal colony. Even though we couldn’t see the whales, it still was an interesting adventure. Sally made the trip worthwhile.

The guide was very enthusiastic and gave us a very informative briefing before the flight about the whales and other marine life in the area. We were lucky enough to see several sperm whales, pilot whales which aren't usually in the area and a massive pod of dolphins. We thought it was the right amount of time and it will be one of the highlights of our NZ trip.

Kevin was knowledgeable and very caring for his Llamas. The cake was tasty. We enjoyed bonding with the Llamas and seeing their behaviour change as they trusted us more.

We had an amazing sunny afternoon flight with Aaron. Thanks to Aaron’s flexibility we started an afternoon earlier to use the incredible weather. Spotted a Sperm Whale, a huge group of dolphins and seals sleeping on the coastal rocks. Great experience, thank you so much for this excellent whale experience :)

Online booking was straightforward and face to face service was prompt and helpful. Pilot was knowledgable and felt in safe hands. Seeing a sperm whale from the air and close up was just superb. A highlight of our holiday

The day was perect for a flight over the Kaikoura peninsula and out to the sea for searching of whales. As there was no Whale spotted this morning, we were happy to find a sperm Whale, just coming up for taking air. Our pilot was very knowledgeable and gave us very good opportunities for taking photos of the Whale, of the schools of dolphines as well as the peninsula and the coast.
Would do it again, any time!

We (60yr+ couple) had a great time kayaking out to see some seals and trying to find stingrays. Unfortunately there were no dolphins on our trip, but we still had a nice time and the sea was very calm and the weather was just perfect. Based on our experience we would highly recommend!

Swimming with dolphins in Kaikoura was one of my all time most memorable experiences. Totally amazing, words fail me but please don't miss. Really well organised, great staff, careful briefing and be sure to book early as this is rightly popular as the highlight on any visit to NZ. Best ever

We did the Wings Over Whales tour as part of our cruise ship excursion and it was fantastic. Staff and Pilot were all excellent and on our flight we got to see a Sperm Whale surface to take some air. What a magical event.

I killed about 4 billion pixels on my camera taking photos.
Suggestion: I-Phones do take great photos but you really need a proper camera with 200-300 mm lens to record this trip properly.

Great service to maximize my experience. My booking was brought forward a day to maximise the weather conditions, and it worked out perfectly! Blue skies, snow capped mountains and a very pleasant flight (no bumps). Would highly recommend...

We saw all we hoped for and more. Got very lucky and spent an hour or more with a Blue Whale, saw a massive pod of dolphins maybe 200+, hung out along the beach with big family of fur seals and even saw couple type of Albatross. Jock was a super guide that knew the area well and was able to make adjustments on the fly as it was just us. All in all my highlight of a two week trip in South Island, New Zealand. A great experience!!! Highly recommend but do remember nature is not a zoo, you see what you see!
