Starting with smaller tours at season’s beginning, before heading up the coast to an island as the tourists ‘invade’ the beach we were currently on and push the seals up.
We were one of the first tours out this season and were offered the option of a full refund due to the water temperature.

I am prone to seasickness, and we were also very aware of the fact that these tours are SO dependent on mother nature.
Awesome experience on the New Year’s Day; we saw to whales, a seal and a lot of dolphins; very friendly staff and very well guided tour which was worth every dollar.

Highly recommend and the company definitely were as good as I'd read up about, friendly, welcoming, the tour group were small so I felt we were enjoying the natural wildlife without disturbing them.
This was one of the best things I did on my tour of New Zealand - great experience, great fun and great value for money.

Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and I love how the company really is intentional about incorporating the Maori culture into their tours.
A really great experience that we booked via the iSite in downtown Christchurch provided by Hassle-Free Tours which picked us up at our hotel and drove us up to Kaikoura, about a 2.5 hour scenic ride.

We were lucky enough to visit beautiful Kaikoura late December and, as the whale watch tours weren't running at this time due to the November earthquake, decided to get out onto the sea instead with Kaikoura Kayaks.
We've done kayaking tours a few times, and this was definitely one of the best!

This organization is doing a great job with these tours, very well organized, equipment was in excellent condition, safety briefing was very good, staff extremely knowledgeable, and the experience was unbelievable.
As a Kaikoura local I suggest the best times of year are March through May (NZ autumn), and get up early to do the morning tours ... sure, the water is cold, but you're in a quality wetsuit and this is when the su...

The small groups mean the tours are more intimate.
This tour is both a scenic flight over the beautiful Kaikoura peninsula as well as a wildlife sighting tour.

We learned so much from our very knowledgeable tour guide and had a very fun time!

He was in touch with the boats and other air tours so as soon as 1 was spotted they all knew and could go to the area.
All the other tours in the air (a helicopter & other plane had left to go home but he waited.

The incredible views of Kiakoura, amazingly funny and quintessentially kiwi tour guide as well as ample opportunities to satisfy both my and my more timid mothers adrenaline seeking tendencies meant it really 1 ev...
What a fabulous outing with breathtaking scenery, a well organized trail and Alastair as our fantastic tour guide.

It's was an amazing morning, and the best of the various wildlife tours I have been on in NZ.
We did both in the same day due to weather constraints and loved both tours.

This was my 3rd year fishing with Kaikoura Fishing Tours and Tomo, the Skipper, delivered on the goods once again and shows his experience in these waters.
We had a great time on boat with Kaikoura Fishing Tours.

A big thanks to Maurice, Heather and Rebecca of Maori Tours Kaikoura for sharing their wonderful insights into the local Maori history and culture, which we experienced on our recent Weltec field trip to Kaikoura...
There are many tours you can take in New Zealand to learn about the Maori and their culture and history, but this is the only one you should book.

Would definitely recommend his fishing tour to everyone!
