What travellers are saying
- Larissa KAuckland, New Zealand52 contributionsFantastic, must do if in Hokitika.
Easy loop walk with 2x swing bridges. Awesome views.
We were lucky enough to go when it was sunny and the water was a fantastic blue colour.
Large carpark, however as a warning it still does get very busy and full.
Toilets available to use there as well.
Great walk.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Debra16 contributionsThis ride is very achievable and the scenery is fantastic and varied. I would recommend booking through Kiwi Journeys & staying at Scenic Waterways.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Larissa KAuckland, New Zealand52 contributionsAwesome West Coast Beach. Must see.
Easy to walk along. We even saw a Seal whist on our walk.
Fantastic way to see the true West Coast.Written 25 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - roaming_kiwi58Christchurch, New Zealand2,707 contributionsWe had lunch in the cafe and then did the Treetop Walk. The cafe had a menu that suited us and we had a good lunch. It was a sunny day and a good day to do the Treetop Walk.
Worth doing and a good place for refreshments. We have been before and we would go again if we are in the area.Written 9 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Susie1 contributionExcellent customer service, standard of Gallery AAA+ products the best I seen anyway.

Would love to see it gushing!Written 26 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robin TChristchurch, New Zealand69 contributionsAnother attraction that we'd not visited before but found to be amazing tucked into the foot of the West Coast hills surrounded but native bushWritten 26 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- zhuhai2007Christchurch, New Zealand48,485 contributionsThis beautiful lake is best visited on a wetland cruise up the Mahinapua River, or via the West Coast Wilderness Trail, but there is a picnic spot for those in a car.Written 13 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Thanks for a fantastic weekWritten 6 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Matt7 contributionsWicked operation ! Pilot and owner Matt Newton, flew my Wife and I in on our honeymoon to a great wee spot in his jet ranger. He was very good to deal with and had heaps of spot on advice on hunting. Very competent pilot who gave us heaps of good commentary. Well priced and will fly with him again!Written 26 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- w00dy32Wellington, New Zealand8 contributionsI cannot rate this experience highly enough. This is the 3rd time I’ve visited and each time I’ve come away with beautifully carved pendants. Steve is patient and helpful through every stage and the carving studio is just as user friendly for girlz as it is boyz🙂. Thanks again Steve.

Wellington NZWritten 7 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Alkyflint7 contributions4 Years ago,to celebrate my 70th we had a 6 week trip to Oz& NZ
Ben’s flight was the highlight!
After helicopter flight to the glaciers was cancelled due to cloud,we eventually gave up and headed north. We came across Hokatika and by chance Ben Patterson -Wilderness Wings.
Although he had finished for the day after hearing of our disappointment, he offered to take us up as the low cloud had lifted
We had a magnificent tour of the Alps and Mt Cook made even more special due to Bens narrative.
INMO forget the helicopters, you see so much more
Ben, you are truly a wonderful person and even after 4 years, we still talk about your kindness and our memorable trip
The highlight of our 6 week tour
Cannot recommend Wilderness Wings more highly!Written 28 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - pd7Harlow, UK576 contributionsSome nice examples of Art Deco buildings in Hokitika, particularly the theatre. Nowhere near as ubiquitous as in Napier on North Island but worth stopping for a look see. Tbh we just drove through Hokitika and took a few photos (also the Clock Tower) as we had to press on to Franz Josef.Written 18 September 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
