Fantastic, must do if in Hokitika.
Easy loop walk with 2x swing bridges. Awesome views.
We were lucky enough to go when it was sunny and the water was a fantastic blue colour.
Large carpark, however as a warning it still does get very busy and full.
Toilets available to use there as well.
    Great walk.

This ride is very achievable and the scenery is fantastic and varied. I would recommend booking through Kiwi Journeys & staying at Scenic Waterways.

Awesome West Coast Beach. Must see.
Easy to walk along. We even saw a Seal whist on our walk.
Fantastic way to see the true West Coast.

Lovely gallery. Some amazing handmade items from local artists. Some beautiful jewellery, photos, wooden items and a great topographic map of around New Zealand too!

Road to the Falls in unsealed and a bit dusty as there had been a long period without rain which also affected the Falls. Would love to see it gushing!

Another attraction that we'd not visited before but found to be amazing tucked into the foot of the West Coast hills surrounded but native bush

This beautiful lake is best visited on a wetland cruise up the Mahinapua River, or via the West Coast Wilderness Trail, but there is a picnic spot for those in a car.

A great 20min walk that starts and finishes with a tunnel! Well worth the 15min car trip to get there.

Helpful staff, good selection of info leaflets and retail items. We stopped by here to pick up a leaflet about the town heritage walk. They have a notice up saying they are cashless, but I was able to pay for my single page leaflet with coins - I could have used eftpos, but it seemed hardly worth it for 50 cents!

Absolutely fabulous craft shop to satisfy a large range of interests and very friendly staff. The most outstand part was I emailed them asking if they could courier an item I had spied and taken a photo of without my wife detecting me, it is for Mother’s Day. The correspondence was lightening quick, answered all my questions and provided me with bank details. I purchase the item around 1pm and it was on my door step at 950am the next day, we are in CHCH, NZ. It might be just over the alps, but I was expecting 2-3 days. The packaging was also top class. The item individually wrapped, then placed in a good-sized box with plenty of paper strips cushioning the item, brilliant. I’m extremely happy and will defiantly return, must see for all, great experience. Thanks, a mill, Trevor, Yes, I’m a male in a craft shop! and what an enjoyable experience it was….

A west coast stop for fans of vintage machinery should include the Westland Industrial Park. An ongoing project of area volunteers, this collection of buildings near the airport, houses a variety of equipment of the past. Mostly construction equipment, small utility boats and motors, local fire engines and commercial vehicles are included, plus a few Caterpillar crawlers and specialty tractors. A miniature railway is under construction. which will add appleal for visitors with young children. My favorite was an American built stagecoach that was used used the route between Christchurch and the west coast during the goldrush. What a thrilling and terrifying ride! Friendly volunteers welcomed us to tea. Fans of vintage machinery are the same all over the world.😁 Check out the heritage park web page for more details.

I was looking forward to the challenge of driving this when heading down the West Coast on our holiday.
I was disappointed to find a new bypass bridge had been built and you couldn't drive through it any more.
It was an icon of the area and i would've loved to be able to drive over it.
I could only stop and get a photo of it.

Quite impressive and obviously looked after. Worth a closer look and traffic is light enough to be able to walk to it.

Although I did not buy any socks here, it was wonderful to pop inside the store and see the beautiful socks that the owner makes. The machines in the back of the room are intricate. Who would’ve thought it was so difficult to make a sock? Great place to stop for a visit if you are in the area.

A nice wee cafe almost in the middle of nowhere (just when you are feeling like a coffee, this place appears!) and not only do they do eats and drinks they also sell local 'souvenirs' and things from the attached shop. But, on top of all that, you can buy the most delious fresh Westcoast Salmon. So nice!
