Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Shawnee F8 contributionsWow we could have easily spent 2 days here it is so big with so much to see and do! Our preschooler had so much fun on the train and on the multiple playgrounds. A highlight for us was the Bird Sanctuary. That is a must see when visiting. The education center inside has lots for kids to look at and play with.Written 28 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Irene M3 contributionsThe staff were so obliging, knowledgeable and helpful . We asked if they could assist with information to take a train trip to Arthur’s Pass - not only did they provide information, they booked the train for us, then provided a paper copy of the booking and confirmation. Excellent service all done with a smile. - Kay004New Zealand262 contributionsIt's a very nice town square, very spruced up and a lot of variety. Old memorials though to modern sculptures. If you're a photographer, then a great selection of subject matter for a photoshoot, that you wouldn't think was there. A good location for the Intercity bus terminal if you need to kill time before your bus or during a stopover.Written 21 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay004New Zealand262 contributionsThere's not a great deal to see in Palmy as a visitor but I recommend checking out this bridge. It has a wonderful design, is accessibility-friendly, very interesting to photograph and has some lovely views of the Manawatu River. There's a carpark next to it, but it does seem to fill up quite quickly. Also a coffee cart.Written 21 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Between the stores (and the food court), there was a lack of rubbish bins (either that of they were not made obvious). There was no sense of knowing where stores were in terms of a map, so there was confusion as to what stores were there available if shoppers were from out of town and went in for the first time.Written 15 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
